This is very clever and well done. A little drama followed by a little magic, wrapped in love. If I had been that kid, I wouldn't too happy either--until I opened up the gifts from Santa, Merry Christmas. Terry.

This is a fun Christmas poem to mark your 50 milestone of posting.
I hope your Christmas is as jolly as your rendition of the fat man and his sleigh.
Thank you for sharing

That was so sweet! I could picture Santa being so quiet when he went upstairs and saw a little boy. That smart little guy, figured out a way to see Santa.

Santa's answer kept hope.
It was a decision he had to instantly make.
Your title should be Santa's Delimma meaning the apostrophe should be used to indicate that the delimma belongs to Santa. It is called a positive noun.
Congratulations on being Recognized and Post Number 50.
Good luck with your Christmas poem.

This was fun reading for me. I think a young audience would appreciate it even more. Do you write children's books? If you could get the illustrations done, I would say you should consider it.

I liked this poem about Santa encountering a young boy who was waiting for him. Santa operates in secret and puts the boy back to sleep then continues on his journey.

Congratulations, Beejay, on your milestone 50th! I enjoyed the originality of this Santa verse and wondered how this was going to evolve. A nice little twist at the end ensured that the little boy would attribute Santa's visit to a dream and the fairytale wouldn't be immediately curtailed. Enjoyable rhyming in a fluent form which sustained my interest. Well done! Debbie

Very interesting anecdote about Santa's journey .Kids will be awake full of expectations. but closing the eyes is the important thing.. That is faith .without that there is no magic
