Sendai,
I'm so sorry you lost your beloved pet. What a lovely creature he must've been!
It's so sad losing a pet -- I've been through it a few times, but you can find comfort in cherished memories.
This is a great tribute to Claus!
Great last two stanzas.
I love this poem.
Best wishes,
Cindy

What a delightful tribute to an old and supportive friend. I bet when you're in the lounge room tonight, you can still feel DOC's presence. Love her name. I call our cat Mongrel Guts, not quite as endearing as your cat's name, but just as loving.

This is a warm and endearing poem and your words of love and admiration for your pet shone through like stars from Heaven. I am sorry for your loss as pets become part of our family and we enjoy their company and miss them when they are gone. Your poem is so very touching and I wish I had a six for you. You exposed your heart here and I wallowed in your kind words about your beloved cat, love Dolly x x x

A poetic tribute to your Claus, Well composed and I can feel your anguish and loneliness for Claus's company. I enjoyed this line the most: "He practiced cat- telepathy effortlessly."

The tributes to our pets reveal our heartfelt feelings for them. Their presence is soothing, their love unconditional, as is their loving glances. Our hearts are heavy when the pass, but the joy we feel with them is priceless.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I lost my cat last year. She was my baby. Your poem was so descriptive of your cat. I enjoyed reading it.

Wow, Senyai, you may be a little unsure of your meter etc., but you certainly know how to put emotion and poignancy into your work. From the very start you held my interest with expectation, of course, for her sad demise. I love your "from my Monday worst to my Sunday best" You introduce Claus with some heartfelt memories before switching to a dialogue direct with him which is filled with love and endearing details. I've never heard the expression 'through the waterfall' before but it's a stunningly evocative one, enhancing the metaphor still more with your 'sparkling world' and 'rushing cascades.' I feel I know Claus now (the visual is beautiful). Thank you for sharing this excellent tribute! take care Debbie

Senyai,
This is such a lovely tribute to your true friend. I had to put down my 15-year old little buff tiger girl last week. I understand the pain and the longing to see them again. Your poem conveyed your emotion well, and I liked the internal rhymes.
I have a couple thoughts:
anchoring us as time matched on
(marched on) maybe?
made it your's as we shared our own
(No apostrophe, yours)
Thanks for sharing your little boy with us!

This is a beautiful tribute poem for your gorgeous Claus. 16 years of friendship and lov, isn't that amazing! I'm sorry for your loss, it's evident you miss him dearly. I love his Mamas name it's really funny!
Don't cats have the life all the same. Claus was the boss in your house, and loved to bits well done written beautifully. Take care and good luck with the contest.

Hi, Nicki,
Thank you for your gracious review of my best friend. He was such a little companion always by my side but independent too. Yes, I miss him so much.
I appreciate your welcoming words on my work.
All the best,
Senyai
