I can understand why this won the Supernatural Fiction competition. It is beautifully written. I'm not at all religious, but there's no question at all that supernatural occurrences are a great source for interesting and engaging stories. You have created a perfect example of this. Thanks for sharing.

I loved your story all the way to the last word. You certainly held my attention. If I had a six, it would be yours. You did a great job, and I didn't find any errors. Shirley

I wish I could have seven stars to give this story. Jesus loves all, no matter who you are what you have done. This story goes straight to my heart because I survived because of Him only. Thanks for sharing and wish you the very best in the contest, Kit

Great write for the contest, Wendy. A friend of mine's father was on his death bed and said he saw the angel that was coming for him and he also knew her name. That plus a couple other things spiritual happened that were unexplained. Great piece. You got my vote.

John 14:1-3 was my dad's favourite verse. He always made fun of the story of Jesus. I got mad at him (as children do) we had a slanging match. Finally he told me he talked to god in our garden. Whilst proclaiming always to be an atheist! Your story is a parallel of my real-life dad. He could quote the Bible and at his funeral I read his favourite verse about love 2 Corinthians 13 (I think) If we don't have love, we have nothing, and god is love. K xx

Thank you so much Kay. What a super review. Sounds like the fathers were alike! Many thanks too for the exceptional rating which I greatly appreciate! It's a great honour.

I guess the father was ready to go home this time. God was also ready to take him home. This story believes in going to church, but it does not have to be every Sunday.

Thank you very much for reviewing my story. I appreciate it. You are right, it's faith in Jesus which saves, ultimately, although church is helpful to grow as a Christian.
Comment from Frances Jean
A well written short story of absolute faith. I've heard stories from friends and family over the years of lights at the end of a tunnel and being sent back as it wasn't their time. Thanks for sharing Franky

Hi Wendy yes, I had a break from Fanstory whilst I concentrated on Christmas, scrolling, art and resin work. Now we're over in Canberra with our daughter for a couple of weeks. Hugs Franky

The Father is the temple, His Son is the way into the light, through Him we go see the Father, for God has a lot of room in His heart. Jesus is over us, the angels are his eyes. He gives His love to one and all, for we are all children of God. Thank you for sharing. This is a good entry for the Supernatural Fiction Contest.
