Comment from His Grayness
Brilliant and compelling as always from this extraordinary poet of rare perspective. The packaging of image and music delivers a capture of a soft gift with a message, knife-etched on an icy plate. this author consistently delivers a GRIP of attention and contemplation unequalled by nearly any other I've ever experienced. Congratulations on another splendid work! HIS GRAYNESS: Vance

Thank you, Vance. I try never to post anything --be it poetry or prose--if I feel I don't have something significant to convey, or can at least be entertaining. Without good people like yourself who care enough to read what I've written, what would be the point? So, I always do my very best to give you the best bang for your buck. After all, I feel t's the very least I can do.
Thanks again for reading and commenting. I deeply appreciate your readership as well as your valuable time.
Always with respect

This is a chilling tale of thoughts. Some thoughts may go with us to the grave, while some people's words will live on through their words that they have left behind. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Nice music! And well presented.

Awesome! The insanity of the artwork you have chosen truly reveals the nature of the beast within. The music is actually rather soothing to me lol! Masterfully crafted piece my friend.
God bless!

I find it very interesting to note that our thoughts can be far more frightening in their creativity that reality rarely is. Thank God I have never encountered a monster as beastly or scary as the ones I have conjured within my mind. I do agree that thoughts whether wonderful or woeful should be recorded for someone else to read over and ponder whether we were gifted or just disturbed.

Tufted bed of dread and sorrow,
lead me not into the morrow,
for I'll find my simple rest
in my God, for He is best.
Guide me only 'til I die,
then let fear and sorrow lie...
My prayers are with you, my friend...I don't think our thoughts go with us, Dean, except those of people and things we loved! (What you experienced was an aberration, brought about by horrors contemplated, I think, and 'fixed' by bringing you back to go another time, as it is meant to happen...that's my belief, and I cling to it.)
I have two small suggestions for you for meter: (syllable count be damned - LOL)
S1, L4 - remove "dire"
S4, L1 - I suggest, "I rest my pen until the morrow..."
re: your notes - ? Let me know? I'm interested!

Yes, Dean - wonderful, IMHO. Do let me know if you're looking for contributors, won't you? I have a poem or two that might suit. :)
-
p.s. - the feeling is mutual :)

I'm always looking for contributions, Dawn. I really want to get this book off the ground with a resounding "BANG!". So, by all means, post away to your heart's content...

Post? Have you created the book? (Did I miss something in my Sunday stupor? LOL)

Holy spider's web, Martha - open your peepers (or you walk into creepers!) LOL

Hahaha, they're WIDE open now, Dawn... :)

Hi Dean,
Now that is bang on form. Great words perfectly accompanied with great presentation adding to the overall experience of the piece. Great stuff.
Another excellent endeavour which I hope will be as well supported as the 'Tiny Tales'.

Thank you for your supportive comments, generous rating and thoughtful comments, Gareth. Like you, I also hope this proves to be an outlet for those to exorcise their demons.
There is a little darkness inside each and everyone of us, despite what anyone thinks. It's best to get it out of our minds and into the light, rather than allowing it to fester inside of us. Perhaps even those who don't normally write dark poetry will discover how beneficial and cleansing it can be.
Thanks so much again for your review. I deeply appreciate it.

Hello Dean
I wonder what Poe would say about your dark poem?
You have great poetic words saying--
don't take pain and sorrow with you let them out of the locked cage and say goodbye, and let them forever sleep inside your head,
wrapped warm within a tufted bed.

Hi Dean, this is a brilliant start to your new chapters, beautifully penned with wonderful descriptions and great imagery, good rhyming and proximate rhyming and a really good flow and rhythm, good luck with the rest my friend, if they're as good as this you're onto a winner.
