You tell quite a story in your poem. I've no doubt, this has happened many times, and I've got to say, that cowboy is one stoic man.

I really like this poem, which tells a story, one that perhaps just might be applicable to a lot of cowboys out there. As I had mentioned to you in a review some time ago, your poetry rings true with me because of my daughter's relationship that she had with a cowboy. You have written some beautiful poetry with this theme. Connie C

This is a heart wrenching story. I think many more people than we realize can relate to this. So often both women and men promise to join an existing life style only to abandon it later, leaving their partner with a broken heart and a shattered dream. Good Writing!

cowboys heart - cowboy's heart
He feed's the - delete apostrophe
Lifes story is - Life's story is
I like the rhyme scheme and rhythm. The life of a rancher
is clearly described here. His workload, his thoughts, and his life is all laid out in this poem. These were my favorite lines:
"People are like critters, just come and go each day,
Some stay around forever, and some leave that very next day," - JeJo

Excellent, excellent! This entire piece flows with rhyme and a whole lot of reason.... You take us into another world where some of us are not that familar.... But, now I feel like I understand just a part of the cowboy or rancher's life..... So very well written, from the heart...

I like this because...The rhyme and rhythm flow so well capturing the imagery of the piece which in turn captures the tension. A very visual poem most concise and powerful with an intriguing plot that has a good balance.
This piece is inspiring with impeccable and impressive wording that is creative making this one very good piece of writing.

I almost skipped reviewing this poem, but I'm glad I didn't because when I began reading, it drew me in. It is a moving and enlightening treatment of the daily life of a cowboy. I'm giving it 5 stars because I don't think it needs any revision of the wording---it's wonderful as it is, but there are a lot of grammatical problems. I could help you clean them up, if you like, in private messages. Write on!

Most of us city dwellers do not have the concept of what cowboys can and do live through. I always wanted to live that type of life. Just to be a loner, no one but me to be concerned with or about. Some women aren't suited for this way of life.
Intriguing and very thought provoking piece of cowboy lore.
Great job of bringing this to life..............jim
