Hi Dean,

Gosh, my muse can't compare to your thriller/horror. What chance as a little wiener dog have against all that?! LOL...!
As usual, this is another job well done! Love your special effects, my friend.

Truly enjoyed this one!

Cheers
Keep Smimlin'.... Jax

Hey, Jax, thanks for your kind comments and review of my poem. I doubt very seriously if you'd want my muse hangin' around, LOL!

I have a couple of Dachshunds my self, and a Chihuahua who rules the roost, of course. But my lil' buddy is Frank E. Furter. Such a good boy! Of course, I call him Frankenstein, much to my wife's chagrin, heh heh!

Here's a photo of Frankenstein. The doggie, not the monster.

They are always around us lurking in every conceivable corner and waiting to pounce on us at the wrong moment in time.
They are the evil that we have to live with and God help us all.
In every dream and nightmare, we shall continue to be exposed to their evil deed. One thing we must never do is to feel frighten or be intimidated as there is a wise Chinese saying:
'Evil is more afraid of us than we of them in a 7:3 ratio' and so we are all safe for now as long as we do not enter their paths of sin.
Hence they usually hide from our vision. Somehow we are bequeath with an Eternal Light in our hearts which they are afraid of. Smiles.
Cheerio, best, Ritchie. :))

Don't you hate it too Dean. Always screaming in your dreams to hurry up and write. He ehehe. Some muses have no capacity for waiting. LOL.

I have a dream catcher over my bed, it doesn't work, so don't bother going down that road! I think everyone on here can relate to your poem, Dean. Where did you get that video from??? LOL. Great poem! :) Sandra

Hah, I have a dream catcher over my bed too, Sandra! Our bedroom is done in an old western theme, and with my Comanche heritage, I felt it was appropriate. But, alas, it doesn't work for me, either, lol. It sure is pretty, though, and looks really nice.

The video comes from my photobucket account. If you hold your cursor over the video, you can click it and it will take you there, where I have it stored. If I'm not mistaken, I have an "open library", which means that anyone can borrow from my library if they so chose to. Check out all of my animations there sometime...if you can stomach them, lol.

    Thanks for the awesome review!

Very pleasant, Dean, that your muse is so helpful. Those pictures were mind blowing. The one with the ghoul eating some kid' is precious. Great job

excellent use of abab rhyming
effective use of enjambment
warning a wicked, put the pen to page - good use of alliteration
great depiction of your unrelenting muse, keeping you awake at night until you write... :-) Brooke

'Some Days.' Yes, your Muse would always tell you; 'I'll leave it up to you. No wonder that we are still sane enough to know what we're doing. Well done.

Funny you should say that. My muse is a teenaged boy. He tells me " no guy would do that" if I write something that he doesn't approve of. LOL. This was great. I wouldn't get rid of him just yet. Your stuff is good, so he must be doing something write. Great work again.

The muse you use leaves me to mesmerise,
I have no doubt, the ruin that he can ink
His wit and wisdom drag forth envious sighs.
Meantime my muse and I just sit and think

Very well written Dean and needless to say extremely well displayed - don't know how you do it. A good read and under the circumstances you can be excused having a male muse. Apart from away/there in third stanza you have produced a good poem in abab rhyme and five stanzas. Regards Dorothy
