Regina.
I'm sorry that I have no six stars remaining. You so deserve one (from me) for this.
I never had the privilege or honor to serve. It sickens me how our government has the audacity to turn there backs and citizens are so rude and ignorant in their mannerism towards our heros.
Your post is well written and I wish it could be heard further then on our site.
Blessings to you.

Thank you so much, John,
for your empathic caring
for our troops. With the recent PACT Act that was
finally passed, I pray our
neglected sickened soldiers
will finally get good care.
I hope you and your family
have a good rest of the week .Many blessings to you. ~

I apologize for no six is mine. This pains me to read because the neglect has pained you and so many others that have been mistreated. I'm so sorry! I know it's true though. We've opened our borders and let others in here illegally and given them plenty of help, even cell phones, yet, our leadership has denied our own! Our own that have sacrificed, given life and limb to be treated like outcasts. It's terrible and growing worse by the day.
Thank you for sharing. This is raw and real even after so many years.
Thank you again for your service, Regina!

Thank you so much, sweet
Sally. With the recent passing
of the PACT Act, I pray our
troops will get the good
medical care they earned
and deserve. As far as I
know, this includes Agent Orange victims. Thank you
for your empathic caring.
Many happy days for you
with God's blessings

Eternal shame on the lying, denying greedy politicians who while stuffing their pockets with ill gotten gains of bribery from crooked and greedy businessmen, participate in the murder of those very young men conscripted into fighting wars we have no real business being involved in. God sees what you are doing and the day is coming when none of your ill gotten wealth will be able to save you from his righteous wrath.

Hi nomi, thank you for taking
the time to read and give my
review 5 stars. With the
recent passage of the
PACT Act, I pray it delivers.what it's promised.
Perhaps, I do hope, the U.S
government and the
politicians, will forfill their
obligation to our troops by
giving them humane medical
treatment. Many blessings
to you, and I respect and
appreciate your military
service. All the best ~

This is a perfect and remarkably well done poem.Your vivid depiction and word flow that details their experiences in the military is amazing and kept me thoroughly intrigued. It also shows that human sacrifice while a mark of courage can also be a beautiful thing.

Well done, Regina! You have my last 6* Your free verse poem is stirring and heart-breaking in its fine imagery and detailed account of the horrors, futility and cancers of war. These men's return to nature in your last stanza is particularly poignant and impactful. Well done and good luck! Debbie

Thank you so very much,.Debbie. I pray that
with the recent passing of the PACT Act, our troops
will finally receive the good
medical care they earned
and deserve. War injures
and kills many young soldiers. The U S. government is obligated to
take care of its brave
returning troops. Thank you
so much for the 6 stars.
Many blessings to you. ~
