This is the same sort of pride in your nation that was shown in my country by poets like Lord Macauley, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Rudyard vKipling and Rupert Brooke. But look at us now. How are the mighty fallen eh? So while you may rightly take a pride in what you have achieved be very careful of the future. There are many jealous nations out there waiting to take their place in the sun. Remember Rome was great once but now the Italians are running bistros in the land of the free! Or the Mafia!
