Very real picture allowing us to see what can happen when we are depressed. Depression can be a horrible feeling
to have. Depression can be with someone for a long time and can be very hard to get rid of.
Helping someone wit depression can help but usually
a doctor can help many with their depression and family and friends.

The poem narrates poignantly the feelings of a person suffering from depression. The sufferings get aggravated due to a wrong impression on the part of the patient that there is no body to share her problems and sympathise her. The remedy lies 'in reaching out for help'. It is true that at times we all experience depression to a certain degree. A healthy person with a good support system can overcome most causes. At other times a person cannot escape the overwhelming feelings without help, and some can never escape.

Grateful for the positive alternative in the ending. i have friends who have lost
children to suicide, the ultimate depression.

Thank you for your excellent review. I agree with you, I've been fighting depression for several years due to a non-curable disease and I talk to God many times on a daily basis. Take care of yourself my friend.

There is a proverb that states, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is the tree of life!" Proverbs 13:12, but they say that it can be chemical in balance, but does it come from circumstance, or otherwise! Nicely written, smoothly delivered in rhyming couplets, articulately delivered in expressive verse, good connecting artwork reinforces the narrative, well done, blessings, Roy.
