I like the proximate rhyme in time/defined = lost/soul doesn't work as well for me
What is the prepares - that phrase isn't working for me at all
To lose one's life companion all those years has to be heart shattering. A thoughtful expression of grief.

Why would someone review if you don't like the work or is it the money
-
reviews are meant to offer constructive criticism - that is their purpose

The last line just floored me. What a powerful piece. Talk about time standing still and it does because events like this are forever frozen in our minds. Great job.

I get the over all meaning in this poem. You have good emotions being drawn to the reader in it. This one line I just doesn't make sense for me as you have it written.
What is the prepares, why continue on life,
What is the prepares just doesn't ring right in my ear and seems to be grammatically incorrect.
Other than that I found this piece to be well written and to have a good voice... John

This piece is beautiful, but also abstract and a bit difficult to comprehend. The ending, however, is beautiful. As humans, we can take something as simple as a clock, and it can be the inspiration for our questioning what life is all about, and how we will go on, when, in many ways, time has stopped. Wishing you well.

It isn't easy when we lose a loved one, but it is comforting to know that our souls live on and we will be united in the after life. Nicely written. Hugs, Lou

My condolences go out to you Deepwater. Words cannot express the sorrow that you are feeling, but words are comfort for the poet in the worst of times. I will keep you in my prayers.

Sad poem but one that is felt by half the couples on Earth at some point. I was just talking about this to another member recently. What a sad way to end your life... alone and grieving. Life isn't easy.

The Lost "Clocks stand motionless" Losing someone is a terrible experience that happens to the best people in the world. It is something or someone nothing can be replaced with. An excellent poem you have created here. Well done.
