I understand the plunger pull. And those prompts will
kill you if you keep shooting up every night.
I've gone methadone and reduced the prompt need.
I find I spend more time writing than checking the booths now. A good thing.
Love the way you skipped 1am, then brought it back.

Good thing my family is not around or they would probably propose and intervention. My goal is to someday just switch gears and write for the sake of writing. However, I must admit, it is on the prompts that I have honed my skills. Thanks for reviewing.

DALLAS01: I laughed at your story. I do basically the same thing you do - can't walk by that computer at bed time so end up staying awake until 2 a.m. Can't pass the TV without checking the news on CNN (except recently - the news is making me ill more than usual - I think it was the Isis beheading children that made me the sickest). I think this a great contender for the contest. But, again like you, I usually fall toward the bottom of the list. Elation occurs is I fall into the middle of the list! I must be getting better! livelylinda

CNN was brining me down to a new low. Finally had to pry myself away. Thanks for the great review. At least I am not alone...So many can relate. Thank God I live alone or my family would probably propose and Intervention. lol

Now, I know why you have trouble sleeping--research shows that you should stop using the computer about an hour before going to bed, otherwise it can disrupt sleep patterns. I only take one medication for low thyroid, but my twenty supplements are another story. Laughter has to be the best and cheapest medicine! Yes, happy weekend when it arrives--we are looking forward to leaving for Ashland, Oregon's Shakespeare Festival on Monday for our annual dose of the bard! Hugs- Joan

I enjoyed your poem. What you say is so true. We probably all do what you have written. However, many would not own up to it. We all want to be accepted. So we check all outlets hoping to find that acceptance. Your illustration is so sweet, too. I have to admit that I check this site numerous times looking for that acceptance. One of these nights I will just write what I wish and be happy that I had that opportunity. I would not change anything. Good job and good luck with the contest.

Oh, how fantastically accurately you have captured the bewilderment of the Fanstorian, me included. Those seductive ratings, reviews, and vote counts pull you in, even when you know you should be sleeping. I was leaving my ipad next to the bed and checking every few hours. I've had to move it to another room to break the cycle.
