Children lift our spirits and take us back to those carefree days and we can once again feel like a child again. The innocence of children is endearing and open and they are fun to have around Debi. Your poem is full of fun and love, I enjoyed your lighthearted thoughtfulness, love Dolly x x x

Dolly, your review meant the world to me. And yes, they sure do take us back, but I keep wondering where it went so fast in the first place. First our kids and now the grandkids. My youngest grand will be a teen on Oct. 10th, so no more little ones here. I bet you still have a few running around. My most wonderful memories is being a kid with my grandchildren. Y'know?

Thank you so very much for the lovely words and the six stars. I love kids so much that when I saw this picture I knew I had to do something with it. Thanks again, with all my heart.
    Love, Debi

The photo alone warrants a six, but bits your poem that magnifies the poem ten-fold.

Oh that hug and kiss from our kids is perfection.

Thanks Debi for starting my week off with a tremendous poem.

Love ya sis,
John

Oh my gosh, Debi!!! What a beautiful and heartfelt poem. You really touched my grandmother heart. All you said is spot on! There is so much to comment on. The rhyme, rhythm and content are all exceptional beyond words.
From the first stanza with Angelic magic, to no better anything, through preventing the stealing of innocence (that part made me cry), emotional bonds, self esteem, reducing inflammation, healing, curing, peacefulness, all such powerful images.
Love the part about the dog, hehe.

Great, great, great!!!
Hugs,
Rhonda

Hi Debi,
Yep, a dog's kiss is definitely not as enjoyable as a child's kiss though both could probably be slobbery. A child's kiss shows love and is so healing.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Enjoy your day.

Their innocence and love and enormous enthusiasm all seem to combine in their beautiful kisses. It's a pity that as they get older they often become less demonstrative, at least in public. Lovely poem.

Hi Wendy, now you sound like Ric. He says they are so sweet and precious until they grow a little bigger. Then you want to find someone you don't like to ship them off to. LOL. I am just kidding. I know that isn't what you were saying. I was just having a little fun with you.
I truly appreciate all the kind words for this poem, my dear friend.
Thanks so very much! Love, Debi

Beautiful, Debi, and so true. A child's chuckle is something that makes even the most miserable person smile, and that puckered kiss, well, that is worth all the money in the world. This truly is inspired, my friend. I'm sorry I've missed a lot, I have been back in hospital again, but back now. Well done, my dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

Sandra. oh no, I had no idea that you were in the hospital again. What is going on, please tell me and if you need prayers I can write something, and you know that I am praying for you anyway. You are so special to me and I hate when you are down too. Please let me know what this is about or is it your breathing issues again.
I have to ask you to keep me in your prayers too as I am still blind in one eye from having covid eye, three times a week to my eye specialist and they are trying to clear the infections and the abrasions. But it is so multi-layered full of problems that he says it will be months to clear it and then he is sure that the cornea will be so scarred that they will have to do a cornea transplant anyway. It is just frustrating because this is going on three months now. I guess it could be worse.

Thank you so very much for the lovely words and the six stars. I love kids so much that when I saw this picture I knew I had to do something with it. Thanks again, with all my heart.

Oh Debi, I am so sorry you are going through this. I do hope you get your sight back fully. It is people like you that make me realise what my father contributed when he died. His two eyes gave four people their sight back. I will keep you in my prayers, dear friend.

I am out of hospital now, but the asthma team is going to see me weekly, and the asthma consultant will see me every two months and go over the reports with me. Winter has always been a bad time for me. Last winter I was an emotional wreck after the death of my youngest brother, which triggered my asthma attack, but I was also attacked on all sides by viruses. I don't want to go through that again. They have put into place a plan that I intend to follow. They have been amazing. I am getting there, and continue to improve.

Your poems always bring a smile to my face. Love you lots, my friend. Sandra xxx

What a way to start my day! The picture is awesome and of course your poem says it all. The innocence of children and their outlook on life is so pure and full of joy....Why can't we stay like that?
Smiles and hugs to you, Debi!
Have a great day!
