Dear Sally
I love this story. I love the way you incorporate messages so gently and effectively for today's acquisitive society.
"Ugg already has everything: warm cave, many dogs, the heavens above and the earth below. What more does a she-creature need?"
I love his carefully chosen gifts. Do you know these are what my grandkids bring home for me? Pretty pebbles from the road. Bright leaves and wildflowers.
Beautifully written, dear one.
Blessings Julia

Sally,
Oh such pure amore!!
I think this is a lovely Valentine Day story.
This short piece is well told and I can see it being a perfect little Childrens story. I think my girls would love it.
Very nicely done. The artwork is the perfect match as well.
In our house, we call the dandelions flowers, and when they turn white they are "fuzzies."
Blessings, Beth

awwwwwwweeeee! this is so heart-warming! what a great idea to write about the caveman and his encounter with love! Geez, you make it hard when I'm out of 6's! But I'm sure you will post more so I can give to you on Sunday! Big bright shiny virtual 6 for this though, so precious!! xoxo

This was great fun and so well done. There was so little tell and almost 100 % show which is how we are told it should be done these days. Also I found only one adverb, carefully, in this and they are supposed to be dirty words nowadays, or so I have been told

Thank you so much for the outstanding review and generous stars, Jim. I appreciate your kind review of my work. I don't think carefully is a bad word, especially where love is concerned. ;)

And you are probably right at that.

Our dandelions are slightly different to the British ones. Not sure about those in the Americas.
Just one spag:
They sat together hand-in-hand for hours, blowing on on the dandelions to watch them swirl in the air. - 'on' is repeated.
Have a great day

LOL I loved it, and it makes for a great Valentine's Day story. It had to begin somewhere, right? NO problems noted and as for the dandelion, it is both but for the native Canadians, it is food and a source of wine. The tops before they turn can be breaded and deep fried, the stems and leaves aare greens to eat, the root makes tea and wine.
