I think this is a well written prose for the Dying Houseplant writing prompt.
Your story of saving the little sprig and growing to a tree is well done.
I like the rhyme as well.

I like this plant rescue you've described and the verse/prose format you chose. But I'm confused as to WHAT it was. A sprig to me is something torn or broken off from a tree branch. Was this a plant already rooted or a very small tree? It becomes a "beacon" in your yard. Does that mean it grew to be a large tree?

Thank you. Tabletop Christmas Tree all but dead except for a small sprig nursed back to life and IF it g moved outside it is safe to assume it is now a full grown evergreen. You are the first to not get it so I will wait and see if anyone else gets as lost before makin any changes. I appreciate the call out.
