Hey Carolyn,
I really like this. It's so true what you say, and the way you say it in this poem. Opportunity does not knock all that often. So, grab hold and down't let go.
Love the artwork. Well done. This is a great presentation and entry. Good luck in the contest
Cheers & Blessings

Thanks Jax, I appreciate your fine review and generous rating. Yes, we all overlook opportunities at times, but they are rare. Have a great day, great lady.... :-) Carolyn

Ok, now this should be the winner! I absolutely love the entirety of this Naani. It just doesn't get any better than this. I have written my first Naani today for the contest and I must say, it pales in comparison with yours. Thank you for the share and God Bless.

I love your Naani poem Carolyn, I like the ambiguity you've woven into tho this poem, and if you combine it with artwork it makes it a good entry in this contest, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy.

The English thrive on irony by understatement and here, for the first time (I think) is irony by overstatement. No, "underwhelmed," qualifies ... doesn't it.
For some reason a quote sprung to mind (by anon as I recall). "The English love a fellow who is talentless and modest about it."
I am getting confused and it is only 9:43: been reviewing too long.

Thanks for stopping by, are you saying I am talentless and modest about it, or I have 'underwhelmed' you. I don't want you to be overly confused. Naani is hard enough to write as it is. LOL . I appreciate the generous rating. It is 11:49 pm here, where in the world are you? West coast? :-) Carolyn

neither comment refers to you or your writing. I am in Los Angeles and it has finally cooled off after three solid days and nights of air conditioning ... I hate to anticipate my electric bill.

I have a cousin in your area, she told me she wakes up in the morning and says, 'Oh no, another beautiful day in southern California.' Now that's irony. :-) Good night, sleep well, Carolyn

That is an old saw that was born in Santa Barbara I believe.

I'm not sure I'm 100% with you on the logic - are you saying there are few snowflakes in a blizzard?
However, the overall meaning of your poem is clear - carpe diem - seize the day and make the most of it.
Good luck.

No, I am saying there are many snowflakes and few opportunities. I will take another look, it is late and I may be getting as flaky as the snow.. LOL. Thanks for stopping by and your generous rating. :-) Carolyn

Carolyn;
Written as a metaphorical Oracle message And well-written piece of poetry this Naani is. I particularly enjoyed this writing very much as not only does this send a message it makes common sense that opportunities are few and far in between them snowflakes in a blizzard. Very witty and clever this is.
Good luck in the contest and made the sun always shine on your shoulders.
