Oh man, this is getting a little scary! Written really well. Poor Father Brian, he doesn't know what he's in for.. The evil one is powerful, but not powerful enough. . Looking forward to the outcome. Rox

This chapter had me engaged from beginning to end. First, the scene with Eddie sitting in his car. I could feel the tension rising. Then Father Brian's phone conversation with the devil himself. Good job!!

Wonderful, Bevota. It's like reading a classy, published novel, and the stuff you've put in this chapter is genuinely frightening. Keep it coming, please!

Oh man, this is getting scary! Great as always. Poor Father Brian, he is in for a battle. The evil one is powerful, but nothing is more powerful than God. Looking forward to the outcome. Rox

Boy the priest is surely understanding what this devil says to him. It's all over the phone too until the end when he hears the noises upstairs. SIgh.

this is very well written, writingfundimension, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where we find out father brian's mindset and the demon takes advantage of his weakness

Hi Writingfundimension,
Now you're piling on the tension, one can pity the priest having to confront the demon alone, he should call in another exorcist pdq!
I haven't spotted any spag either. Nice one.

Hi, Patrick. Thank you for the gracious review. Father Brian tends to act fairly impulsively for a priest LOL. Appreciate your support, my friend.

Hello!!!
Long time no see - pun intended.
I've been virtually blind for almost a year.
Some sight has been restored in one eye. I'm having an operation in November, implants and cornea transplants, that will perhaps give me more.
If you want to know how I ended up this way read my latest post - Out of Sight. A fairly true account.
Now, I'm gonna need some time to catch up with your book - and will do so and offer a real review.
But I could not resist the chance to say hello to a dear friend.

Oh, Ron. I had no idea you were going through so much. I will hold you in the highest light, my friend, as you go through the surgeries and pray more of your vision will be restored. Thank you for letting me know what's been going on. I'll be checking out your post today. Blessings, Bev

This is one of your best chapters. Father Brian has a lot going on in his mind. Many past regrets. One being that he never let Debra have the comfort of knowing that he loved her. His priesthood held that back.
The product of a priest and his own mother's infidelity is another burden to bare.
Evil is all around him, banging doors, walking on the roof.
(I can't imagine staying in that house.)
He is tortured mentally as to how to write Debra's eulogy and then the killer calls. What a terrible state of emotions to deal with. How does he hold together?
A good piece of news is that the man with the schnauzer wrote down the Datsun's license number.
Mavelous, jam packed chapter! Bravo, Bev!

Ellen, I'm very honored by your six star review. Thank you for supporting this chapter so generously. More of the supernatural to come as we get the priest together with the shaman. Tony's been the background too long. Much appreciated, my friend.
Hugs, Bev

I can't wait. Yes, bring in Tony. :) e
