Well, look who's back in town. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem, but it took me 45 minutes to read. You see, that sound of surf and seagulls relaxed me so much I kept dozing off, lol. Seriously, this is a very fine write and most worthy of the sixer. Hugs, Lou

Awesome! Been missing you, friend! This makes up for the absence... I felt the pull of the sea through your imagery. I too love to go on mental journeys, to places I've never been, and will probably never go, through my imagination!
Growing up on the Atlantic Ocean in Revere, Mass., I still have a strong affinity to the ocean...
Great write, as usual!

Thanks, PW. Our move is complete, and now I can get back to focusing on writing reading and reviewing once more. I hate moving, don't you?
Thanks again...

Definitely! Hopefully I'll not be doing that again... I bought the house I'm in twelve years ago. You find stuff you forgot you evenb had, plus you find out you have ten times as much crap as you need!

Dean, I grabbed a few bites of data time, and I'm glad I did. The sound of the presentation, itself, causes the occipital cortex to kick in. (I love studying the inner workings of the brain-it is the undiscovered country yet to be mapped.) The word images that you create are strong and substantive without the visual and auditory aides. Perhaps in our subconscious, the water world that we gestated in is always with us from pre-borns to death. Interesting. :0 GracieAnn

Thanks GracieAnn, and I believe you are right. I think that pre-birth experience sticks with many of us longer than we think...
I really appreciate you wonderful review!

There was magic in your poem Dean about the sea. You drew me saying,
Come, with me in to the sea play in it and look at it, as if the sea was a living fantasy.

Thanks, Gert, that's exactly the feeling I was trying to generate. I am glad it connected with you in the way in which it was intended...

Loved your presentation, you'll have to let me know how you do that one day friend? I love it when imagination and inspiration collide, passion explodes and they become lovers giving and taking, pounding and probing for new creations, it doesn't happen all the time BUT when it does...WOW!
LOVED IT... ALL OF IT!

I travel along with you as you go to seas and the shore where all is new and beautiful , peace and tranquil is a haven for one like me. I love the sea and it is always a mystery how we can always find new discoveries. makes one not want to come back to reality but we must it always brings us back only to dream the dreams over and over again. searching for some meaning in the ocean.

The seduction of the sea. I hear it in the tone and images of this haunting ode. First the dangers, then the fun, next the unexpected summer storm which has its beauty too. Yes, our minds can take us anywhere -our own quiet place to meditate- and we do return. Mine is a Lake Ontario in summertime, our summer camping grounds when young.

Lake Ontario in the summertime is beautiful, I know, I had an Uncle Jay who used to take us pike fishing there all the time. My dear uncle has long passed away now, but we still like to return there, from time to time...
Thanks for the wonderful review, Spit!

Yet another splendid rendition of the pictapoem collection. I particularly enjoyed the assonance within the linework such as reverie, treachery, that was the extra touch that really put this piece over for me. Again, your ability with HTML shows in your aesthetics, as does your hard work. Really great job here, thanks for sharing.

This deserves a six, really, it's not just because I am a sucker for the sea, but I am. lol
The sounds are very much like the meditational cd's I play at night while I go to sleep.
The visual beauty is practically at my door, but your poem paints the picture vividly.
Your poem reflects not just a love for the sea, but a respect as well, and indeed the ocean does demand respect, it is a burial ground for many who underestimated its power and strength.
I loved it. :) Sandra
