This is a cute poem for kids. It has good rhyme and meter, giving it a lyrical lilt. I like the twist at the end. Good job. It should do well in the contest.

Thank you - glad you enjoyed.

Well, don't read this to me at night... it is so cute, it just jumps off the page, and the critters come to life. Very well written, clever, engaging, and filled with magical moments.

Something I would hear it from Nanny MCphee but it was a cool poem. I would like to hear more of that style in the future and rock on with this

Thanks for the positive review.

Ha ha! That last stanza was clever (although also slightly creepy!)
This is a great entry to this contest - the rhythm and rhyme is terriffic, and all the wonderful names for the critters.
Very well done, good luck - Cally :)

Got a giggle out of this one ... and loved your author's note ... they were another hoot.
Found the alliteration and rhyme delightful.
Good luck in the contest.
You have written a charming children's verse.

What a cute read! I wish my grandchildren lived closer. Definitely the sort of thing I would love to read out loud to them. Best of luck in your contest. Regards, Bill

Thank you - I may have to wait a while before reading this to my only grand-child (she's 3) - perhaps I'll have a bookful by then...

Very well done! I like it all the more because of the factual background of your 'critters'. All around us, at home or otherwise, our material world is covered with tiny little invisible microbes: virus, bacteria, etc.
These little critters are part of our life, some essential to our survival and others quite harmful.
Here the poet describes in 'babbly', childish tones the whereabouts of these critters, giving them fancy, mouth filling names, probably the more to enhance the interest of children and arouse their curiosity.
It is a bit frightening, but kids are kids, and they'll probably just see the funny side, more like we did when we first read 'Alice in..', 'Gulliver..', etc.

Your rhyming and meter are great, and it's certainly an imaginative poem. Personally, I'd never read it to my child ... the message of sharing a secret and keeping it from mom & dad is oh so dangerous. Shows a lot of creativity.

Thanks for the review - I really believe that kids soon learn not to take 'fiction' literally - especially when they're guided - and you will notice these ones come to a sticky end!

I love this mass array of funny laughable words you have compiled for children's reading. What a great job. They will love it too. Thank you for sharing.
