I am so sorry for your loss Debi, life can be really cruel sometimes when it takes those we love from us too soon. I could feel the love that you still have for your Mum in this piece and it comes through really strongly.

Jacob, thanks for the kindest comments regarding my missing mom poem. I know everyone misses their mom and others and can relate so easily. This just happens to be one day a year that bothers me. So thanks again, my dear friend for caring. Love, Debi

This is a lovely poem in honor of your mother. You are so fortunate to have such good memories of her. Not all of us had that kind of relationship with our mothers.

Absolutely beautiful! I remember from other writings of yours, that your Mom passed away at a young age. That is devastating.
As I read your poem, it made me think of my mom. She passed in 2003. She was 76. I'd like one more day with her as I was such a fool back then. I'll even take an hour, just to say I'm sorry for being such an idiot! But I'll never get that chance.
Sorry. I didn't mean on ramble on.
Just one suggestion... and tell me to shut the heck up.
I would change the last line to :
I'll be with her (you) again someday
I felt that you were talking to your mom in each line, but not that one.
Just something that hit me while reading your beautiful poem.
Love you, sis!

Thank you so much, John, for catching that. What a great observation and you were so right. Yes, the weird thing is she would barely be 90 years old if she had lived. So being gone almost thirty years is a long time. Some people like Helen still has her mom and Helen is two years younger than me but I think how blessed she is to still have her. I feel I have missed out on a lot, but that is God's plan, not mine. So thanks so much my awesome brother for this wonderful review and kind words. Gosh, I appreciate the six stars too, John. Thanks again and for the feedback too. Perfect!! Just like you, dear one. Love and Hugs!! Debi

Twenty-nine years. I can't imagine. I lost mine just over a year ago and it already feels like a lifetime since I've heard her voice. I'm sure yours is aware of this lovely poem and how much you miss her and is waiting for the day when she will see you in the place she now calls home. Blessings.

Thank you for reminding me of my own personal grief as I miss my mom, whom I regrettably feel I did not show enough love and gratitude to. As much as I hate to say it, I wish I had done more when I could have.

Well Sweetie, I didn't mean to make you feel bad, but you are in my thoughts and prayers too, dear brother. I am sure you were much better of a son than what you realize. Lotsa love, Debi

I'm so sorry that you are feeling sad as you miss your mom. To answer your question if they miss us, they don't miss us because we are there already. We're trapped in time. In Heaven, there is no time - in eternity, all those who believe are together and there are no tears. We're all there now - we are probably visiting each other there in person!

I remembered that a little late and changed that part. That was an old poem that I wished I had read it over more before posting it. So it reads a lot different now. I have gotten a lot smarter about things since I met my prayer buddy, (you) and so thankful to have you. Yes, today is my day to feel her absence because when I think she would only have been 91 if she lived. It is the only day I allow it. She gives me that much time. I am so glad you were the one who reviewed me first. That means the world to me. Love you. And thanks so much. Debi
