Wow, weee..what a story... Cars can be such a pain...but what would we do without them???
The games of the dealer and the back and forth on the deal... been there and done that...
P.S. Loved our Lincoln..after having Volvos and Mercedes most of our lives we decided that Lincolns were the best...
Lisasview... now in Spain we own a Seat Ateca...nice car but nothing like our Lincoln

You certainly were making 'pie in the sky' money that day. I wonder how much they can really afford to give back on a relatively recent used car in good condition. Quite a bit more than they're offering is my guess (car salesmen have a pretty dishonest reputation on our side of the pond). kay

I've noticed that figures can go up or down, some might even think they can be a trifle rubbery, what is is money to God anyway, He owns all its cattle and the hills that contain them. Beautifully written Terry, blessings Roy

Holey Smoley, Batman. Where did you learn to negotiate? You should open a school. You could amke a fortune and afford a Rolex, though why anyone would want to spend 50k for a bracelet.
Well done. Sarcastic and humorous.

They don't play games???
Nicely written. Good work.
Unfortunately for me, I always trade after wearing my trade-in out - way high miles and invariably, something wrong. Duh, why do you think I want a new vehicle?
And they know it. "Look, we'll give you nuthin' fer yer trade an' charge you top dollar fer ars. Deal? Deal.
Best wishes.

Wayne, thank you for reading. I know a lot of people who buy cars just like you, and it always works out well for them in the long run. Terry.

I can't say it works out all that well for me. Just cornered by payin' for my miles at then end of a car's life instead of by the mile.
