Hey there Mary, it isn't always easy, is it? I might write it for the true contest. And I haven't told too many but my eye surgeon screwed up and now I am dealing with not being able to focus past six feet from me. I will explain more later. Hello again my sunny friend. This a typical offering to cheer us all up. As I write this I am watching the England Ladies Soccer team playing their opening match in the World Cup in Australia. Exciting stuff! Haiti, such a small country have obviously got a brilliant team - so we are just shading it 1-0. With your team and mine being co-favorites, this is quite a surprise! That's just one example of what cheers me up. Here, you think of friends and family - and attitude - a gift from God, surely.
[I hope you will allow me a tiny, little, minuscule suggestion: add the word 'to' before 'cope' and it will make it perfect. That's all .]
I'm reminded of the Monty Python song, 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life!' (whistle . . . . . . .) which always makes me smile -and so does this. Thank you, Debi.

Hi Paul, I know this is going to sound weird but I left that for you. My poem was in perfect 8-6 and I was suggested to change it and I did. I was hoping you or someone would catch that as I had it that way and changed it. Please read Lancellot?s review. You will see it was part of original.I questioned a few things and only changed some but it threw it off for me. Thank you again for a great review.

Do you know how to review others ratings? On the bottom of my poem and click on view ratings and read.
I got what he was saying but I only was able to make some of the changes as you will see. And no, in a certain way I never could view anything from him as bad advice.

Thanks so much Roy, I needed to do this as my eye surgeon made a horrible mistake when he forgot that I have seen double for years and decided at the last minute and put in the wrong lenses. Now until we figure out what to do, I can?t focus past six feet. Since I am one who constantly gets carsick, I can only see up close so I walk w my head down to only see what's in front of me. Next week we are going on a planned $10,000. vacation we are treating our family to on the biggest and most beautiful fishing and scenic lake in our state and I won't be able to see the view. We purposely planned this for after
I had the four surgeries of both legs to walk again last summer and both eyes this summer... It is one week away, and my anger had stolen my joy - so I had to find the bright side and that is I'm still here, I will be with my family anyway. And one more is that I can see up close and still write.
A hope you recognized yourself as one of my close friends that I consider part of my bright side. Thank you so much for that.

Thanks Sweetie. I had to write this as I have been so full of anger for the Dr who did this to my eyes that I let him take my spirit too. I know you already knew this but you are mentioned in this poem as you were on my mind.

You are, indeed, Miss Cheerful, Miss Sunshine, making people feel better.
What a great attribute. This is a good poem, with a great message.
With all that's going on, today, though, it's hard to be cheerful, but there are some good people out there trying to make a difference. And if more people would stand up for what's right and good and American, hopefully things will get better. This is just my "downness."

Katharine, your review is a brightener as always! And what you consider downer, I have to agree with you 100% and that is actually a pet peeve.
Like you, I don't have many, but that is big for me. The other night I stood for the National Anthem at a county fair tractor pull my grandson was in, and I still tear up and feel such pride for that flag, when I am singing along with the soloist.
