This is a candid and well-done example of how the mind works, weaving memories and actions between the strands of love that's felt by the one who has to remain and do their best in the face of loss. This made me pause and think a lot this morning, Terry. Thank you for that.

Of course.

This was a wonderful tribute to your dear wife, Terry. Such a sweet/sad story about your how you are dealing with the loss of her. I can picture myself much the same way if I were to lose my wife of 49 years.
Like you, we have pet names for each other that we have always used, as well as our little rituals and traditions that we follow.
This story really struck a chord with me. - Jim

I know you had one of those wonderful marriages. I've seen that from others of your posts, but this brings it home once again. As long as a loved one is remembered and talked to, they haven't really died. It is good to be able to keep them alive as long as possible (not sad or depressive at all). kay
we you missed last night > we missed you last night

Kay, thank you for reading and catching my typo! Terry.

It amazes me how our lives run parallel to one another. Myra and I have been married 44 years, I named her "Magic" when she captured my heart at a fraternity gathering because she melted the ice cap from a frat brother with the moniker "Silent Eddy" for being anything but outwardly social. I remain aloof today. I am satisfied having a few pals, but deep imbiding friends, none.
Thanks for sharing THE SWEET BABY story with us. Tom H.
P.S. - I wonder where you had been. It's been a while since I seen any notice from FS re: you.
