Sarah, thank you very much for reading my story and for the six star review! Terry.

Damn that Uncle Sam and his letters. If he isn't sending you off to fight his wars, he's got his red, white and blue hand out. This was a cautionary tale. Don't base your future on a country music song. This was a blast to read. Thank you for posting it. Great way to start a Sunday. Gretchen

Oh my goodness men think differently don't they. I would have used that windfall somewhat differently on a more permanent reward.
Great writing and I saw no mistakes. A captivating 6 star read

Absolute magic. I was enthralled. Tales like these leave me wanting more. Can you please extend it into a book?
A joy to read as I am just about to hit the hat myself in Thailand. Fast women, lots of money but no fast horses here.
Giddy up, JT

Terry, your writing gets better and better, like the aged whiskey you spoke of in this story. Life does teach us lessons and give us the boot up the rear sometimes. Good thing your parked the lovely Sue Ellen back at her mama's. I saw that one coming a Texas mile away.
One typo: Sue Ann is mentioned instead of Sue Ellen. Easily fixed.
Delightful story and wisdom gained. A pleasure to read.
Sending you my best today as always, and blessings to you and yours.

How can I read a story a hundred times, and know that I need to look for the name that had wrong initially, but it takes the blind girl to find it? My friend that is the magic of Sally Law. Thank you for reading, enjoying the story, and finding my error. Terry.

Most welcome. My ipad voice reader found it but we're pretty close. Blessings,
Sal :))

Tom T had it right for him, but not us. You did a retake on his take "faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, and more money" expressed herein. I would have gone with younger horses, older women, no whiskey which cumulatively would mean I'm rich.
Love the closing line! It earned you a six.

Great! Humor fiction is something you do really, really well. The story is catchy and has a plot to make the reader stay engaged until the last word. The humor is creatively and cleverly spread throughout the story, making certain a smile never leaves the reader's face. We have a suspicion as to the ending, but so involved, we need to know exactly what happens next.
Thanks for a fun read and most pleasant way to begin the day. Exceptional. ann
