Oh Rosemary, you are always the sweetest thing! Thank you. Since I loved Billy Joel, I had to use him, so the rest was kind of fun to show Santa being a little naughty for a change, I do appreciate so much, your kind comments and for the six stars. Thanks Earl! I tried to keep it right on to the songs meter, but the words being different it might have been easier to have an instrument instead of the one w words. I hope you played it. One of my all time fav.songs. Thanks again my friend for the kind comments!

This is a cute poem which shows that Santa has to start bulking up before his flight, so he can be his jolly, chubby self. I never understand why he was shown as overweight from the beginning. I would think that if he was fit he could hold the sack easier and the reindeer would have an easier time pulling the sleight.
It matches the song well.

Thanks Joan. I know, why does Santa have to be unhealthy. Oh well I think he was invented before we knew about good healthy foods.
Also I just don't like being off meter and in order to stay with the correct syllables for the song, it doesn't wok too well by itself. Even if you know the song, there are few parts that I think huh? So thank you very much for your kind comments for my song my friend.

I loved this! It was funny and clever and a great re-write that went perfectly with the melody to "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me." I played the song and read along and thought you'd done a perfect job. But best of all was the funny twists on Santa and his sleigh, which made me laugh. Great job!! Good luck in the contest.

Heather, you are a peach. I love when people tell me something I miss and I appreciate it so much. I was going to drop our of the contest and thought an 9 this morning, oh well lets see. The deadline was around noon, and I had to make sure I had the same syllables. But I made it and I always seem to miss something, so thank you so much for having some fun with me on this. Thanks so much Teri. I just came back from fixing a few little boo boo's in there, so I am hoping it is ok. I used to go to all of his concerts, so I just had to do a song that everyone knows. You are always so sweet Teri and I appreciate your kind words for my song.
