What a precious poem to send to a granddaughter, filled throughout with love and encouragement in her Christian walk. It looks like we'd all need to look up to her in more than one way. God bless you, my sweet friend!

Oh Verna, you are so cute and have a great sense of humor too. Actually my daughter told me that she is closer now to 6' 1". My daughter, Bridget is 5' 8, but her husband is 6' 5" so they have 2 very tall kids. Then my other daughter, Michelle, is 5' 2" and her husband is only 5' 8" and as a result, Kenzie Jo is 5' 2 also and their 11 year old boy is on growth hormones as he was also a very small preemie and has pituitary gland problems and has been off the charts for being small his entire life. Lol, not sure you really wanted all those details, but you are just so easy to talk to. And I am feeling a bit better as my temp has finally dropped below 101 but still pretty weak. And back to my Clara, yes I could see her dedicating her life to Christ, or at least doing good with her faith. A grandma's dream. And I would love to hear more about your family sometime. All I know is that you have a daughter named Debra. Now how did I remember that? Haha! Thanks my lovely dear friend for your kind words for my ClaraBelle and for the gracious gift of six stars. As always, I doubt you could ever be any kinder or sweeter, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Thanks again Verna!!!

My sweet Debi, I would love to tell you about my family. Leon and I met in college and got married when he'd been 21 one week, and I was 20 for another 3 months. Our son, Dennis was born one month before our first anniversary. Debra was born 2 and 1/2 years later. Dennis and Teresa have two beautiful daughters. Stephanie has one daughter 10 and is pregnant again, due in April (for which she is ecstatically happy). Allison, 5 years younger, has two boys, one ten, the other 7. Debra has two sons, Drew has one son, age 2. (Malachi) has spent much of his life in Children's hospital with leukemia. About three months ago he had a stem cell transplant, and currently is not showing signs of leukemia. He is a matter of constant prayer! Deb's other son, Nolan, has one daughter, Piper, age 4. So we will soon be great grandparents of six--so blessed. All of our family loves the Lord. The grandkids are all married, and all live in various places in North Carolina. We live in the independent section of a retirement center in Winston Salem after having lived in Charlotte for 50
years. Leon had several strokes that affected his right side 4 years ago. It could have been worse, but it has given him limitations. I am thankful to still have him with me. He walks with a walker mostly, and he's weaker than I'd like. Dennis lives closest and takes us to all our doctor appointments, out to eat, and to the grocery store or anyplace else we need to go. Debra is about 50 minutes away and she with her husband come once a week to take us out to lunch. Now, you probably know more about me than you cared to know!--certainly more than anyone else at FanStory does. ; ) Love and prayers for you to get better every day, sweet Debi. Hugs, Verna

I am tickled that you shared your lovely family with me. I will add your family to my prayer list w an emphasis on Malachi and Leon. You know you did a great job raising them when they are there for you even while busy in their own lives. When Glen and I had our 4 surgeries this Summer, ours automatically took off work, made sure they came to see me almost every day. Took us to all our doctor appointments and never complained once. And all our trips were around 60 miles to the Twin Cities. So when visiting so mom doesn't get lonely, that's taking time from work and away from their families. Thank you for telling me as your children , grandkids and greatgrands make a beautiful loving family. And of course is their walk w the Lord! Bless you Sweet Verna! I just love you to pieces! So thankful for your friendship. And truly blessed by your prayers and kind words! 🙏❤️🙏

Thanks Cindy. Clara is actually my granddaughter. I wrote this a couple weeks ago for her confirmation and looked forward to giving it to her myself, but that wasn't to be. So of course I had to stay home, but feel so blessed to have her in my life. And thankful for you too my friend. Thanks for the kind words for her poem, my sweet friend.

You?re welcome, Debi. I?m glad you?re well enough to write again! I was confirmed in the Catholic Church when I was 12. I?m born again now, but believe all good Christian churches know the way to salvation.
Get well soon. Debi, please pray for me. I?m in a slump and need God?s power.
Blessings dear friend, Cindy

-Oh Cindy I wlll pray for you as I do know that God will not let you sit in that slump any longer

You are so very sweet, Sanku. Actually I wrote this a couple weeks ago and made it into a plaque for her. You are so perceptive my dear friend, as I can tell you are either a grandma or mother yourself or have one that you love as much as they love you. I have so many that think these are for my children.
I just thought this was a good time to share ones already written, even tho I am feeling just a little bit better today. So once again I thank you for your lovely words for my sweet ClaraBelle's poem, your prayers and well wishes and for your gracious gift of six stars. They are all so very much appreciated, my very dear friend.

I just got back from checking where you were from after I read that your 2 granddaughters were in Singapore. That must be so hard to have them so far away from you. They both have beautiful names and I bet you cherish them as much as I do my two grandgirls. Thank you again my lovely friend.

Pride herein is not a vice, but a virtue your granddaughter will have all her life. I'm unsure when it was written or whether she as is exposed for public consumption any longer but if it is in her heart, she'll always remember you as a special person.

Tom, this might be the loveliest review you have ever given me. I wrote this a couple weeks ago so I could make a wooden plaque out of it for her. And she did love it. I'm now thankful I had it done before I came down w Covid.
Thanks for your beautiful words, my very dear friend!

How beautiful this is, Debi dear, and another gorgeous granddaughter to your credit!! Six feet tall? My goodness, and loves the Lord. She stands out in every way! How blessed you are!
Our Sophia is being water baptized today by her pastor daddy, our son! We can't be there either. But God is and that's most important.
Sending you my best today as always and abundant blessings in Christ,
Love,
Sal XOs

That's right, Sophia's was also today. You have such a wonderful way to take things in stride and accept. I usually am better, but today was important and I was so looking forward to being w her, then with the family at Bridget's after for dinner. But I know it can't be helped. At least by sharing the poem I wrote for her today, will keep me a part of her day while here alone. Glen was going to stay home too, but I told him I feel a bit better and will be fine alone.
He'll only be about 20 miles away if I need him. However I have a funny feeling that he asked my brother to stay w me. We'll see if he surprises me w a visit. Thanks for the beautiful words for my poem, my sweet friend! And also for the lovely stars!
