It was with enjoyment that I realized that you and David shared a disabilities. He with his ears that did not work right and you with your legs that didn't work 100%. I firmly believe that should you work together you shall overcome. Very well done. Blessings n hugs!

Yes! We shall both overcome our disabilities. Thanks for the blessings and hugs!

I was going to ask you in this review how your health is, but you have pre-empted me and reassured me that you are savouring life and working hard to come back. From watching my father go through successive crises and claw his way back each time, I can only reassure you that this IS possible, and you will walk again when the time is right. Daddy is as always my model, and gives me hope that one day my health will come back at least in part. Thank you for sharing this fine essay explaining your day. Good health. Kate xx

Yes, Kate, I believe it is possible for me to walk again, and will be working hard to prove it to myself by walking with a walker down the hallway as far as I can.
Thanks for the kind words and wishes for good health.
Have a wonderful day!

Hi David, it is wonderful to see you enjoying life once more. You and David had a beautiful afternoon out--getting reacquainted with Nature and each other. How delightful. I especially liked:
I knew I was home when I could smell the living spirit of the trees.
(How warming and heartfelt. I could feel the peace within.)
This is a story of hope and bravery. As each day is a gift, so is each step. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer ~ Margaret

Hello Margaret. Thanks for your kindness and caring. I appreciate you choosing the line you liked best. It was my favorite line too. As each day is a gift so is every dawn a beginning of a new day with possibilities and hope for the future.

Thank you, Jesse, for sharing about this sweet communion you had with David and with nature. I appreciate the tender connection you felt with the "shared disabilities." But thank the Lord for the strength you will keep gaining to walk and for providing hearing aids for David. My husband got hearing aids recently and now he can hear the birds, too!
My favorite lines were:
"when I could smell the living spirit of the trees."
and
"Birds trilled arpeggios singing songs"

Thank you, Helen, for the exceptional rating and wonderful review. A sweet communion is a great way to put what David and I experienced in natural surroundings such as Freshwater park.
I appreciate you choosing your favorite lines. These are mine as well.
Thank you for sharing about your husband who got hearing aids recently and now can hear birds sing. I hope that happens for David as well.
Take good care of yourself, my friend.

This story, Pilgrimage to a Park, is a neat reminder to all of us that disabilities, whether temporary or not, should not keep people from communing with nature. Nice story.
