You wrote it with authority and yet with a laughing heart and I was pleased to read this enjoyable true-life story. Thank you for sharing this entertaining tale and for teaching me the gifts a gramma can get by raising a daughter who gives.

Yes, we have enjoyed grandparenting too, from our sixteen year old 6 foot grandson, to our six year old grandson Dion, 5 in all, they all appear to be exceptional kids, doing well, with gifts of their own and inherited ones. Yes, we have enjoyed grandparenting too, from our sixteen year old 6 foot grandson, to our six year old grandson Dion, 5 in all, they all appear to be exceptional kids, doing well, with gifts of their own and inherited ones. How can those grandkids be anything but exceptional when you are their grandpa!!! I have 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. They each have their own personalities and gifts and goals. I enjoyed your story. At age three, Jess was a smart little thinker, to try to stay away in her room until grandma was calm. It worked. When she came out, grandma laughed at her remarks. I agree with your closing statement, that children and grandchildren prove you did a great job as a parent.

I guess I'm probably considered to be a 'newer' grandma. I have three grands now, aged 6 years, 4 years, and 3 months.
There's already been the excitement, wonder, joy, and constant surprises of raising my own three fabulous children - and now I'm experiencing exactly what you're talking about. Moments with these girls that TAKE MY BREATH.
That tell me all over again that this is a great world to live in and God is alive and well and watching over us all. *smile* If I do one-THIRD as good with mine as you seem to have done with yours, how blessed

Grandparenting is one of the great joys in life because of the freedom from holding one responsible for the mundane. Add to that, the knowledge that kids only come through us and do not belong to us. They are their own persons which we have the blessing of guiding. Thank you for your kind words. ann
