You switched up the spelling of "Shelia/aka/Shiela a few times..."
My old friend Grammarly tells me a Corvette is also known as a 'vette. (Not Vette)
What would I know? I rode in one once!
Not clear who the "we" are in this passage:
"Those two guys that came in right before we left are undercover cops. [We] are pretty sure they are gonna bust a couple of my buddies for gambling"
That's likely because I'm reviewing this at 3 AM!

Hi Terry, you must admit that Ray was a character and he lived larger than life. I enjoyed reading your story. I could see the whole bar scene. I am curious as to what color the Corvette was. I'm thinking red and canary yellow. I think Ray never got to spend a second night in jail because he had the good fortune of you being with him. I hope the girls made it home safely, and I'm feeling confident that this afternoon on the town was not spoken of. Men are like puppies. You can't leave 'em alone. A fun story. Well told. Keep the blue waters flowing.
