Hello Mystery writer a terrific Thursday to you. I hope this finds you well. After reading your Angel Amongst Us entry, I just want to say sorry for your loss. I'm a single parent and I couldn't imagine having to bury my child, I watched my mother have to do it and just seeing it was almost unbearable. Thankful "your Angel" stopped you from making a big Mistake. good luck in the contest.

This is a beautiful story. It definitely has a supernatural feel to it. I believe our angels know exactly what we need to feel in that moment when they go about the task of saving out lives. I'm glad this encounter help you to realize you needed live.

Thank you. I have thought about it a lot over the years. What were the odds of that kitten being in that precise place at that exact time. It must have been some kind of intervention.

I think they put your review on here twice as I just read it a minute ago. Thank you double anyway.

That is happening a lot. I don't know why. FanStory is supposed to be looking into it. Enjoy two reviews. They will both count.

Angels exist in this world and not just to those who believe but to everyone. I'm glad your angel was with you that day. What a wonderfully written story.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Thank you. It must have been an angel. What else would explain the kitten being there at that precise time and place. Thank you for the six stars. My angel thanks you too.

I am so happy author, you had vision and sign to stop the inevitable that day.
Signs are few, but when occur, they are to you the saving grace of any moment. Nicely told. Good luck with this.
My best wishes.
Have a great week.

Thank you. I don't think I could have gone on as some invisible force wouldn't let me. I really can't explain it to this day. The kitten lived with me for over twenty years.

Believe and have faith and you will receive the greatest of gifts. My heart reaches out to you and I fully understand your loss. I, too, have lost 2 children and a young grandchild as well. There are no words to describe the depth of the pain and the fact it lives on within you forever. You have described the day so clearly without letting your grief spill all over the reader's page.... but we understand and we know it is there.
Now I understand why we have such a connection. Our angels are standing side by side. I wish I had a six and much more to share with you.
Hugs, Carol

Thank you, my friend. Roy was actually the third child I lost too. One was premature and died in 3 days. Another died at 2 months, and when I lost Roy it was just too much. I didn't want to go on. We were very close too. He was my best friend as well as my son. His pather and I had parted in 1978 and Roy was world. The kitten was with me for twenty years and I named her Iggy after Roy's cat.
-
I am so happy you had Iggy to get you through the rough times. I miscarried two babies but my deepest losses came with my 4 yr old son and then my 44 yr old daughter and her 17 yr old son. It's my daughter's daughter and granddaughters that are with me and I write about so often.
Comment from Wayne Fowler
Excellent writing. Great story.
I wish I had saved a sixth star for you.
Maybe a line about Roy's father would help a bit.
You reinforce my belief in angels. Great job. Thank you.
God bless you.

Thank you. Roy's father and I were not together when this happened. We divorced in 1978 and he had little to do with me or our son anymore.
-
Maybe a line in the 3rd paragraph that it was just you and Roy?
But it's your story - well told.

This is a really painful story. My heart goes out to you. It must be heartbreaking to lose a son. I believe it was Roy's spirit that brought the little kitten there. What a lovely ending. Stay safe and well. Ver

Thank you. I agree with you. What were the chances of a kitten being in that exact spot at that exact time. It was a remote area and I never saw any adult cats around there at any time. Thank you for the six stars, I appreciate them.
Comment from Mary Vigasin
I am so sorry for the loss of your son.
Your pain of his loss is written in your words.
I do believe he sent you that kitten to help and console you . It is just to much of a coincidence for that kitten needing someone to save him.
Best wishes
Mary

Thank you. Yes, what were the chances of a kitten being in that place at that time? Also, it seemed like someone, or something, would not let me pick up the pills and take them. Was it really an angel?
Comment from Carol Hillebrenner
What a lovely story with a surprise ending. Life does go on even at times of greatest grief. Having something you are responsible for can change a life completely. I hope the kitten survived for many years until you no longer thought of ending your life and erasing your book of memories of your son.

Thank you for the six stars and your kind comments. The kitten lived for over twenty years and I named her Iggy after my son's cat. I have never felt anything like I did at that time. There was definitely some sort of presense there.
