Good for you. The most number I had at one any one time was five. We had outside ferals too, but I had them caught and fixed.
What I love most is that you think of the future and how your babies will be taken care of. They are so affectionate.
I am the same age and now have only two left. One is 21 years old and the "baby" is 11 and I do worry about if anything would happen so I will not add any more to the house.
I understand how you could feel being a prisoner, I think of that every time, we have to buy cat food. I still feed one or two ferals, plus my old one wants to eat often.

Thank you for reading. My oldest cat is 20 and the youngest is 5. I hope I can outlive them. My niece will take care of them but I don't think she will baby them like I do. My dog is extremely attached to me and I don't think she would do well without me.

What a lovely person you are, I am a bit older but I had three cats which controlled the house and everything in it. I am now sadly down to just the one who still rules the house second to the wife that is. I really enjoyed your story but I am not sure if it is fiction or fact but it's good.

A lot of it is fiction. I could move to a smaller place if I chose to, and I don't have that many cats anymore. I just fabricated a bit so I can use it as fiction. Thank you for the kind review.

Thank you. To make this fiction I fabricated a bit as I don't have that many cats anymore and I could move to a smaller home if I chose. I still have enough that call me slave though.

A most creative response to the prompt: The Prisoner. Pets can be quite a concern as one gets older, as to who will look after them should their slave perish first.

Thank you. Cats know they are the masters of the universe. This is a bit fiction because I could move if I chose to and I did love my husband.
