This is a great poem and breaks my heart. I can imagine right now an older woman or even a younger woman just sitting at her desk writing to her deceased husband or lover. The letters never being sent but always being written.

No problem! I love writing too or at least I used too and then I stopped for an unknown reason. Now I wish to get back into it.

I know what you mean. I have written sporadically over my life, but now that I'm older, it seems I have far more experience to draw from than in my teens and younger years.

You daughter writes letters that she never intends to send. I've always thought that was such a strange thing to do. She always said that it helps to clear her head and to study her feelings. This is what your poem says to me. If it is a love poem, though, you ought to send it.

Yes, I think sometimes we need to write just to get something out. And maybe the next day we think about the same thing a little differently. I agree, never hold back a love poem! xoxo
