I'd do it for just one hour to see how it feels. This is lovely and most of us can relate I think. I do wish you had used a more readable font. I had a lot of trouble reading it, but it was worth it. :)

After reading your description of soaring with eagles, spying treasure chests from pirate ships, readers are invited to think of what they'd do "for just one day." I can easily relate to the wishes of the Speaker here, especially as I get older. It would be great to fly--if only for one day-- and spy on pirates and just enjoy the birds. I especially like the mournful tone of the final stanza. This rondeau was a pleasure to read with its smooth, even cadence and well-chosen rhymes. Rod
