In my opinion, you nailed it. pressing flowers in a memory book 'petal pressed/bouquet memories'. It used to be that one pressed flowers in a book. I don't know if that is still done today. The theme being Mother's Day is so befitting and honoring a mom. I am hard pressed to find an error(yea, I counted syllables too) Lovely work

Michael, your verse is simple and good. It appears to meet the criteria too, so I reckon most will love it. What's not to love inside this fragrant memory? ...

Beautiful picture to present your poem to your Mother on Mothers Day. She had a scrapbook of dried petals , memories of flowers she received. Just priceless! Good luck in the contest.

Beautiful poem and an equally beautiful photo. Your poem conveys such sweetness in very little words. Thanks for sharing it and good luck in the contest.

I just love this one. My mother kept every card she received and placed them all in a large dresser in her bedroom. I often found her going through them and occasionally I saw tears in her eyes. I am not as obsessive as she was, but I kept all the cards my kids gave me. Lovely entry for this contest and I sincerely wish you all the best.

I like this. I don't know about the kids today, but in my day every gal saved the flowers from every big occasion, dried them flat and put them in a box or scrapbook.
Nicely done for the contest. Blessings, LaVonne

You're absolutely right about that, Mikey. My ex-wife's scrap book is filled with old flower petals from parts of floral arrangements that myself or our kids gave to her for various occasions. When you open the book, you gotta be careful or they'll all fall out and go all over the place. Old wedding bouquets, roses from Valentine's day (our first together), Mother's day petals from wild flowers picked by me or the kids when they were younger. A veritable secret garden.
Lovely haiku, and perfect for Mother's Day as well.
Good luck in your contest...~Dean
