The poem is very descriptive of a foggy morning on the ocean . I lived south of San Francisco for just over a year and saw many of those foggy mornings as I lived with a short walk to the ocean. The painting is lovely. keep writing and painting. Patricia

Thank you Patricia for this encouraging review. I bet you did have some foggy mornings on the San Francisco bay. Glad you liked both the poem and the painting.

lovely presentation of your poem
vivid detail of setting with strong sensory appeal
Yesterday's tide - add the apostrophe for possessive
good alliteration and personification in struggling sun
Ovations raise from seagulls - rise
release it's hold - drop the apostrophe
good alliteration in your closing line

I thought to myself, this doesn't look like a short story, until I read further, then when I read on, I realised it was a poem, and a very well written one, you have projected great imagery here Carolyn, I can almost smell the rotting fish and other delicious seaside aromas, and of course a new day brings change, God sharing His artistic talents with us! Well done, Roy.

Dear Roy,
You can imagine my surprise when I hit the save button and it showed up like that. Then I had no idea how to change it, so left it. Glad you liked the imagery, I really enjoyed your review.

I did it once, and told Tom, and he corrected it for me! Ok Blessings, Roy.

I enjoyed your poem. I was taken to that place and could feel and see the portrait you were painting with your words. The painting that accompanied your poem was a great choice and really complemented the poem. Good luck with future writing.

Hey, Carolyn,
I like this. Super artwork with it. What is it about the fog over water that lends mystery, yet a calming effect too? I don't know, but I think it is so cool.
Great job on this one.
Cheers & Blessings

Hi there, so glad you liked this... I released it with 2 major mistakes.. # 1, I wasn't finished with it... lOL and # 2.. I thought I had it in poetry and it is in story form... Do you think I might be sleepy? Like Scarlet says, I will think about that.. Tomorrow.. Fiddle de de.. :-) Carolyn

Tom fixed this for me. I don't know how many read it the other way, but the reviews have been good. LOL.. We are in Amarillo tonight. :-) Carolyn

Been through there many times when we were and traveled from Ohio to California.
