This is lovely Carolyn. You've left out an apostrophe in 'souls'. I'm sure you know where it goes depending on whether it's one soul or more. Lovely writing.

I enjoyed your Tanka but was wondering If there is a subject verb conflict? Unrivaled sunrise sounds singular so shouldn't the verbs end in (s)? I could be wrong. Might want to check.

Yes, the rising sun especially just after dawn when everything is still quiet and peaceful and the birds are still asleep, the sun is more magical for we can absorbed its full glory without disturbance. Your poem emphasized that. An excellent job. God bless poet.

Yes, the rising sun especially just after dawn when everything is still quiet and peaceful and the birds are still asleep, the sun is more magical for we can absorbed its full glory without disturbance. Your poem emphasized that. An excellent job. God bless poet.

A very complete tanka went to metaphor, imagery and context that is written to perfection and a syllabic format fits the requirements for this type of poem. The emanating beauty of the sunrises foretold beautifully with words like harmonizing or gossamer and finally unrivaled all of which paints a picture of a delicate sunrise.
