Priscilla is not only spoiled, she's on a tight budget, only paying 2 cents to review her poem. Her parents sound like they were as much the problem than she. Nevertheless, kids will love her poem as they laugh. I read it to my son and he laughed, after asking who was in the picture.
Perhaps she could promise a chocolate for each vote. That way, a sure winner!
Good luck with the contest,
DW

Hey i figure you got your 2 cents worth. Thanks for the read and review. I did have fun with this. Children's poetry is where I started and where the bulk of my work is, so it is fun to have someone else think up the plots for me. I had plum run out of steam in that regard! Thanks for the stars too.

Good use of abcb rhyming
good consonance of P sounds in parents/priscilla pigsley/spoiled/pampered
I like that you used the quatern form, which works well here, but you are not allowed to have author's notes, so you should eliminate the line about quaterns.
Excellent illustrative examples of how her parents spoiled her - my daughter, a nanny, sees these behaviors in parents all the time. Brooke

Thank you for the read and review. I did have fun with this. I may have mentioned that children's poetry is where I started and where the bulk of my work is, so it is fun to have someone else think up the plots for me. I had plum run out of steam in that regard! I think so many parents spend so little time with their children that they think they can make it up with gifts and indulgence. A pity they can't really see what they are doing. Thanks for reminding me about the author's notes.

Thank you so much Jill, I love children's poetry and it is what I write most of. This prompt was a fun new challenge. And here I thought I had every topic covered already :)
