Good poem about pollution. It's so true that we humans have made a mess of things and think nothing of disposing of trash anywhere. Good luck in the contest.

Hello my friend I liked this it reads very well written in a way that children will understand in form of a story it unfolds smoothly through the verse not only a message for children I feel some adults to well done good luck in the contest regards Jill

oh Sandy this is GORGEOUS! So many great writes in this competition. Yours,however, is especially good because it's at a level where kids can relate to it as a "story". Well done!

hahahahha, This was a very fun and innovative kiddies pollution poem... the characters you created, and the storyline, everything was fun and perfect!!! So far the best entry I have seen! 10000 star rating in my book!!! I wish you nothing but the best in the contest!! ;-)

Hi Sandra. I will see if I can think of a theme. I know there are many dangers to our wildlife because humans are actually pigs.To many possessions and way too much waste.Your poem is cute. Who would have thought of that?

Poor little rat got scared of how he was trapped. I thought you did a nice job relating your message and the insight to the dangers our trash may have on innocent creatures.

Aw, poor little thing... dirtying the environment is such a shame, and yet you make me think. What is a person just came into my house and dropped a can in my front room and left, thinking nothing of it; I would go insane. So why are we not thinking of those who cannot speak? Unbelievable!
Well done for writing and keeping our world clean.

Well, I hope your poem does well. It's kind of interesting.... you write about a rat, which makes this human feel creepy and usually not sympathetic toward, but the little guy is just out doing his thing and wham, thanks to careless humans, he gets in real trouble.
I think the lazy, littering humans sound like the bigger rat!!

I loved your poem. It taught a lesson, flowed great, and I could see myself reading this out loud to a child, and I could imagine the child's face eager to find out what happens next. Great job.
