I understand fully your plight. Our daughter was born (c-section) before we reached our first anniversary. My wife and I worked with adults with many complex mental challenges. She worked third shift. I worked first. But I had the time to tell her "I love you" daily.

Still coming up with some great stories about your family. Still good reading. Keep it coming. I am "still" there I go again... trying to get back to posting stuff.

"He's the football." OMG! Panic mode here!!!
As I know I've said before, I can't imagine having all boys. You're a saint:-)
Another great share of your life as a military parent.

I love the ending, Barbara, although you could actually have finished on: "Mom, it works." That was one heck of a long time to be raising those boys practically single-handedly, especially when they were as lively as Greg. But looking back, I bet you're immensely proud:) Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Thank you for the support. I am proud of all my boys, challenged, but proud. I was a really good kid. This was all new to me.

Kids...you gotta love'em! They always seem to have what they think is the perfect answer for a situation...And usually, one that we don't see as they do. But, as they say, in the end, it all comes out with the wash..... don't throw the baby out with the water. LOL
Notes:
supposedly 6:30 xxxxx 3:00. (gremlins)
needed to met at all times, (be)
You're supposed to watching your brother." (be)

Thank you for the catches. I've made the corrections. One I'd made earlier. I must have forgotten to save. I made sure I saved this time.

Not a problem! You know I am the fix it once and doing it again the second time queen. LOL

A tiny four month old, swaddled up could realistically resemble a football... especially in a teens mind.
Then, a dog or a baby... both are babe magnets.
But that's just me from the outside looking in.
Good post, Barbara. Fun read.
Cheers,
John

He also used our yellow Labrador as a babe magnet, too. Especially when she was a puppy. LOL I'd forgotten about that. I need to share that story. Thank you for the kind review.

Cool. I'm glad I triggered another thought leafing to a story to share.

Very good stories about child rearing, Barb. I'm sure my wife has a few, also. You use the phrase, "it fell on death ears". This should be , "it fell on deaf ears".

Thank you for the catch. I'll fix it immediately. I'm sure your wife also has stories. I think all mothers do.

Greg was an enterprising young man. He knew there was always a way to exploit the situation. What a wonderfully written chapter. Best of luck with your writing! Have a great day, and God bless.
