Great poem, with a surprise at the end. You used great rhymes and steady rhythm throughout. You have given us the emotional and health benefits from a child's kiss, and the emotional bond that develops with the child. Nicely done. Blessings. Carol

Self portrait? Be-oot-tifull you as a child. Loved the children's poem. Children are pure and a kiss is from an angel. I loved your poem, children give freely of their tiny love. They have no inhibitions. When they arrive, they make you alive. K xx

Even when they wrap their little arms around your legs, it's rewarding. Your poem and picture are adorable, as you tell us in your poem, the advantages of receiving a child's hugs and kisses. Your words demonstrate your personal knowledge of how a loving child's kisses feel.

I love the sweetness of your poem and your picture. The kiss of a child is a magical healer of both body and heart. Not just kisses, but hugs from little pudgy arms have soothed me many a time.

This is a very readable poem. The photo is adorable and appealing.
Favorite lines have to be:
A kiss promotes a small child's growth
It heals and cures, it can do both
Also the suggestion that it reduces inflammation is intriguing.

This was such a sweet and innocent poem. It made me grin and long for the days when my nieces and nephew gave Aunt Jess kisses. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

What a great poem and picture combination! There is nothing in this world more lovable, heart touching, or rewarding than children--then they grow--and we wish we could give them back, or to someone we don't like.

Ok, Ric, you were on a roll for a while there with your lovely words for children, and then what happened?? Hahahahaha! My sentiments exactly. But that is for my kids, not my grandkids. The grandbabes are perfect little angels and would never think of smarting off to grandma. .......at least not yet. LOL.
Thanks for your fun words for my kiss poem. You're the best, dear friend.

Yes, grandbabies are perfect. But that's only because when they get on your nerves, you can send them home and let someone else fool with them. LOL.

Exactly!!!

What a photo! The adorable puppy and the baby have the cutest puckers!
I hate to go a "R.N" on you -- but scientific studies have proven that viewing actions such as you write so beautifully about REALLY does improve human emotions. Feeling good about babies, dogs, loving one another releases the hormone oxytocin which, in turn, stimulates the well-being and serenity humans feel.
Wow-- Bet you didn't expect THIS is a review! It's just that I've seen this work hundreds of times with very depressed or very ill patients.
Love your rhymes and style -- and love that what you write is a reminder for all of us to open our hearts to these most basic of joys -- they likely do more for us than the latest anti-depressant!
(And the only side-effect is happiness!)

Hi Sweetie, So just to make sure we are on the same page, you are agreeing with me, right? Because some have said it is just a feeling and it can't make a difference in our health, and I am here to say I am a walking talking witness, that kindness, hugs, kisses, even a tender touch sometimes makes a difference even in my Lupus. My immune system does better when I am not stressed, but feeling loved.
So I wasn't surprised that was part of the review, because I told you I was excited to see what you'd say.
And you did exactly what I wanted you to. Thank you so much for that, K.
And thanks for all the other kind words too. I appreciate it very much.
Love, Debi

Of COURSE I am agreeing with you!
Have you ever read "Love, Medicine, and Miracles" by Dr. Bernie Siegel?
You should!

It appeared I had a syllable count wrong, but it was me forgetting about child having one syllable. Duh, I know better, but we pronounce it as two
