Say it isn't so! If we can't laugh at this, we're all going to suffer serious self-worth issues.
Any group of three or more is apt to have a "secret" or two or three.
Much of it is conjecture, embellished "truth" that someone heard from, you know, another person who is in a position to know these things!
By the way, in this day and age, there is no gossip! (It is called "Networking" don't you know...)

Some say Emily Dickinson was on the original version of FanStory (I don't know who told me, but she was in Amherst once and Emily lived there so....)

I love your exaggeration with the sex-mobile, and the woman that she trusted so much, who was gossiping behind her back. It is hilarious and I hope everyone sees how gossip is wrong and hurtful. And your story wasn't an advocate for accusers, but quite the opposite.
Sometimes it is hard to see ourselves in those roles, as eating crow isn't always the tastiest dish. But I find anyone who can do it to be an admirable person and I would go the extra mile to shake their hand.

Debi, thank you very much for the six stars! I do think you analyzed it right. I did try to use exaggeration taken to the absurdity. The two gossips were so self-absorbed they missed everything around them. Terry.
