Once again, I have no sixes left. This was simply beautiful, and exactly expresses my feelings for my wife. I certainly hope this wins the Valentine Contest. The words came straight from your heart.

My husband passed on 2022, so I can relate to your words. There is a happy positive feeling in your poem that makes me feel good. Love does remain and yes, it grows stronger through trials. Your verses have meaning and I admire your smooth rhyming of words.

Thank you for the nice review and comments. I'm glad you found it more upbeat than sad. I hoped it would sound that way because I'm not sad. I enjoy the memories. Thank you so much for the six stars.

This was beautiful, heartfelt, and touching. Six decades together is a long time... what a blessing... but I know, it's still not long enough to be with the one we love. This is a wonderful tribute to the love you shared. As Valentine's Day approaches, I'll be sending you hugs and prayers as I know it will make you miss him even more. Thanks for sharing this lovely poem with us all... enduring love is such a beautiful and rare treasure. Blessings and hugs.

How sweet the taste of love can be. This shows that the two of you took a bite from the same apple, and though a worm or two may have taken a small share, the taste of that fruit was made to be savored forever.

What a lovely valentine for your forever sweetheart. I love the last two lines best of all. It is so encouraging that when we know the Lord, we can anticipate seeing our loved ones in heaven who followed him, too.

Thank you, Teri. I appareciate you hopes that I win. I doubt if I will because I have won a couple since the first of the year and they can't afford to have the same people win to many. I do it for the challenge. I'm glad you like it and and the six stars really mean a lot to me.

What wholesome, pure love! This poem is beautiful. I like how it highlights that although grief is unavoidable, solace can be found as well. This makes me think of the saying "it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all". What a beautiful, resilient take!
