Hi so much loved your story about Jonathan here. My aunt and uncle had four children who were physically disabled, and my aunt was an angel when it came to taken care of those four children she never complained. I kind of feel like you're one of those people as well, and I wish you the very best with this writing of this book, and that it helps others to understand disabilities. Patricia

Thank you so much. If even one person changes to a more tolerant and understanding attitude, my goal will have been achieved. Thank you so much for your lovely review.

Learning about what makes him tic. Knowing what fell financially on your family's shoulders was eye opening. I have dealt with the state on occasion. It is very time consuming and at times seemingly more stressful than it's worth. Great chapter. I'm finding this story fascinating. Gretchen

Thank you very much Gretchen! A lovely review, supportive and encouraging. I feel like saying, "Just wait till you read about later events!" I'm going to tell it exactly as it really happened. I've changed names, but there'll be some who won't appreciate what I expose in this book.

So much to do, so much to say, you sacrificed much and received much in return. The road may have had its lumps, but how bitter is tea without lumps of sugar (love)

How in the world would natural parents manage?
Even in a wealthy nation, it seems impossible to provide for the special needs of all those with disabling conditions.
Thank God in Heaven for willing volunteers. Bless you.

Often the natural parents don't manage, and more than three quarters of relationships break up under the stress.. Thank you very much for staying with the story.

Yes, little snippets of progress - but he is as much valued in God's eyes as any of the rest of us. God called and He enabled, throughout all the difficulties, including many to come. Thanks for reviewing.

It sounds like you completely changes every aspect of your life to car for Jonothan and you took on a mammoth task here Wendy and you were probably better equipped to tackle the authorities than his Mother, ensuring he had everything he was entitled to. We have a severely disabled boy in our family and his parents are devoted and it takes planning and thought before they can leave the house. You are doing such a wonderful job and thanks you for sharing this story with us x x x

Yes, we took on a big task, and were very naive at the beginning. Each person has value, and we felt like we were making a difference for him. Yes, a lot of thought and planning goes into every outing. I understand your relatives' situation. Thank you so much for continuing to read and review. I greatly appreciate it.

This designated theme came through very clearly and so did the lack of support from the key agencies - something I've heard much about here in Victoria as well. I could relate to your comments about the GP taking dictation and being paid to do so. It's something I've experienced as well. I continue to be so impressed at the lengths you went to to ensure Jonathan received the best care available. You are amazing. :)
