This is such a difficult topic with so many variables. One thing is for certain, the unborn baby had nothing to do with the situation he/she has found themselves in.
How can lawmakers decide its fate?
God must intervene!

This is a writing site, and as such, reviewing is SUPPOSED to be judging the merit of the writing, not the content. If I sound like I am ranting, it's because I am.*smile* It is in the site's list of instructions.
I love the picture you chose for your poem, and the font you chose too -- it's an excellent presentation IMHO. The meter could be improved in a few places, but overall, this is a powerful verse.
Let me give you an example of a 'stumble' in meter -- the syllable count is correct but the emphasis is on the wrong syllable in the word "babies". It's an easy fix though = "That those who kill (a babe) will pay"
"Some laws are made for votes, we know
To say it's right, won't make it so
The Bible says there is a day
That those who kill babies will pay"
I hope my review has been of help. Your poem is wonderful. Best of luck in the contest.

Dawn, you are precious. I am a stickler on meter so it didn?t feel right to me either, but as much as I changed it I wanted to get my message across.

I appreciate your point of view. You mentioned the Bible and a God fearing land. According to the Bible, God's plan was that a man and woman purposely come together (in marriage) so that ALL babies would be born in love. Since many in our culture care little about God's plan, problems and division developed. Great poetic message with beautiful artwork that intensifies the message. Best wishes in the contest.

No push back from me. I'm on your side and the side of that unborn baby. How anyone can justify the murder of an unborn baby is beyond my comprehension.

Any opposition you were concerned with was already muted by God giving you holy passion. While I don't know any scripture which reveals aborted babies go to heaven, I am confident they do. Satan is making a big error in thinking the souls of aborted babies go to hell.
