Wow. I guess this is how it feels for parents. This is a poem that is rhythmically succinct and with a message that could spur tears. The ending is a great way to end it.

Debi, this is a wonderful poem for your grandson. I am thinking he is one lucky boy to have a grandmother like you. And you are blessed to have a grandson like him. Outstanding. Terry.

Comment from Sally Law
How precious is the poem for Andrew! How blessed you are, my friend, to have such a special bond with each of your grandchildren and Andrew is already sixteen! Wow! Just watched a childhood run away is correct. A fine (handsome) young man and blessing to your heart.
I hope you all had a grand day of celebration, and my love to you all across the miles!

Aw, this is lovely! I enjoyed reading about the activities you shared at different ages and stages and all the fun, loving little things that grandparents get to share with their grandkids. It brought back happy memories for me. Thank you!

Where does the time go? From baby to one handsome young lad he is blessed to have a grandma who loves him "Ten forevers long."
And now he'll be driving and how the girls will flirt!
What a sweetheart of a poem...
Hugs to the birthday boy and best wishes for you tomorrow and Friday!

I haven't replied to anyone yet as we went out to eat with them for his birthday tonight, and then I had to edit Sally's story before tomorrow. And we have to be on the road early, but I am about to release John's birthday poem and I pray he likes it, because I never did hear from Willie. I know for a fact that my meter was perfect for his poem and I thought it was good, unless maybe some don't pronunciate per syllable. If he read it that way, I don't know. This is what I do when I am nervous. So never mind me.
But I always hold my breath as I wait for their response. And he was so excited to have me do one. But maybe he got busy. Just so you know, you have a package coming tomorrow, but not sure if it is UPS or mail service. I will get a lot of time to sleep respond to reviews tomorrow hopefully between testing, so thanks for the well wishes. I will talk to you soon.
-
I'm sure Willie will respond soon...
And he'll love it!
Say what about a package?
Geez!
I'll keep an eye out!
You wouldn't be human if you weren't nervous...
You have a while team of earth angels praying for you!
I KNOW you'll have your tablet!
I'm an email away...
-
Willie is very sick and whatever it is has caused his back to be really bad.
-
Ouch. I've got him in my prayers!

I feel and relate to your ever word. Just yesterday, I spoke with a friend who had a conversation with my grandson. He did not discover until late in the conversation that he was my grandson. What the friend told me was that my grandson was a very fine representation of the way I raised him. My grandson told the friend that he was proud to have been raised by my wife and I. He often tells any and everyone that he feels his childhood was filed with privilege.

Oh my gosh, how precious! Good thing we've given you so much practice writing Birthday poems, because now you're set for your handsome grandson's special poem.
It sounds like you two have had a special relationship since he landed here on Planet Earth. You are so very lucky!
God Bless,
Rhonda

Actually Rhonda, long before I started writing on FS, I wrote a book for my family and bought enough copies for everyone that had a poem in there and 2 pages of pictures to go with it. Throughout the years I had written 35 poems for family members combined with prayers. I will send you pictures of a couple pages and cover. By the time I was done, it cost us close to ten thousand dollars to get each person their own copy for Christmas that year, but as they say, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. I will email it to you.
Thanks for the sweet words for my boy. I appreciate it so much.
-
Awwwwwww, that is so sweet!!!
I would love to see it. How very special!!!
-
I sent parts of it to show you in an email and also the cats, rabbits, horses, etc....
-
Okay, thanks. I?ll check it out!

I love the artwork and your family book. You are so full of energy, my friend, and talent beyond talent. You are a blessing to so many!
Much love,
Rhonda
