Rachelle, this is the most revealing interview I've read.
It appears that Lea has a solid command of the happenings of her past and steady control over the feelings of her future and the ongoings in her life.
What we can't fathom is what interests us most as an individual tells their life's story. This is incredible, and I will have to read about her world.
You'll have to share the six stars with Lea! So, I give you twelve! Lol. Best, JohnC

Oh, you absolute sweetheart, you!! Thank you for these kind, encouraging words of affirmation and support. And I couldn't agree with you more: this amazing girl IS now controlling her feelings about her future and the goings-on in her life. She always keeps her wits about her, which, to me, is a remarkable talent.
I'm so glad to read that you're going to become familiarized with her book. I know you will be fascinated because you've always been such a proponent of the good guys winning. This is exactly that kind of story, and it's all because of her uncanny ability to think on her feet.
Thanks for this really great review. I couldn't appreciate it more. (Ditto for Lea, who's been on Cloud Nine all day as she reads these encouraging, supportive words from our fellow members.) xoxo

I just read her book of the month win Chapter 15. Powerful, captivating, and riveting. Talented lady!

You know how much I agree with THAT assessment!!! xo

Hi Rachelle - This interview is very interesting and very well written. I appreciate the clever way you adopted Lea's use of font size to make a point. Perhaps I watched too much Perry Mason as a boy; but, I kind of felt that at times you were "leading the witness" and actually speaking for her. You might want to consider this when you write your next interview. Happy Thanksgiving - Jerry

Rachelle, this is a wonderful interview you have done with Lea. Her story is amazing and that she is able to come through such abuse and not be broken by it is rare. She is a strong person to manage to free herself and find some justice by getting this story out. I've been with her since the beginning, and I must have driven her crazy asking so many questions and trying to fathom how parents could be so cruel. She was gracious in answering all my questions and applauding me for asking them. I look forward to her second book. I too hope she can get a publisher soon.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I thank you Rachelle for this sincere, heartfelt interview, introducing one of our newer, creative, and talented writers. I have read and reviewed EVERY chapter of Lea's compelling story of the struggle to overcome adversity. Her vivid account of survival for months, living alone in a forest, searching for food and water and fighting inclement weather, left me weak, envisioning her hardships and struggles.
Her book is phenomenal, and I am glad you conducted this thorough and very informative interview. Thank you again.

This is an extremely fascinating but very sad interview with Lea. What an horrendous life she has lived with all the abuse she has had to endure. How can one ever handle all of that and manage to remain so positive? She is an amazing, strong lady!

Exactly how I feel, too!! To me, that's the most remarkable part of her story. They tried so hard, but they never broke that girl's spirit!!
Thank you for this lovely review. xo

This was a fabulous interview with Lea, Rachelle. I've been one of the faithful readers since the beginning of her fascinating and heartbreaking story, and you have given folks a spot-on review of her first book and a very perceptive view of Lea's personality.
She is, like you said, one of the most extraordinary people I've ever gotten to know, and I feel like I really know her through her work and through our communications here at FanStory. Such a warm and caring person, I just want to take her in my arms and hug her.
This was a wonderful interview, and you really helped us get to know and understand her better. I'm sure she will pick up even more followers after this. - Jim

I know exactly how you feel! Anyone else, having been raised like she was, would be a basket case...or a sociopath! But Lea is just this warm, GRACIOUS, wonderful person. She is made of incredible stuff.
Thank you for this heart-warming review, Jim. I couldn't appreciate it more. xoxox

Great interview, Rachelle. Your questions were personal in some aspects and then you would ask questions that would allow us to see the overall subject. I have a hard time reading about children going through hell. I'd give my life fir mine. Narcissists are a different breed. This was excellent. Gretchen

You know I'm with you all the way on THAT school of thought. Oy, how incensed I become at the thought of anyone doing harm to a child.
Thanks for the very validating, encouraging review. I appreciate it very much. xoxo
Comment from Pam Lonsdale
I have only read one or two of Lea's chapters, but I was aware of her goal to write three, and I believed from the beginning that she is a very good writer and has done well in telling her story. I haven't read more because it brings back some memories of my own early childhood, and I'd prefer not to go there.
Lea, I wish you the best of luck in finishing your trilogy. By telling it from your personal perspective, you're telling it for the thousands out there who have gone through - or are currently struggling with - the same story. And it takes guts to open up about it; you're very brave.
Thanks for bringing us this interview, Rachelle. If I have one critique, it would be that you have interjected a lot of your own feelings into the interview, and it should be centered solely on Lea's. Having said that, this isn't being published in a magazine or newspaper, and seems perfectly fine (probably even welcomed) on the FanStory page.
Happy holiday to all.

Point well taken, Pam. Thank you for that. I know exactly the spots you mean and vacillated between including them and not. I always appreciate it when reviewers are honest like that. xoxo
