You did a great job with this story. I liked how you built up the plot, kept my attention, and let the main character be bullied and belittled by his live-in girlfriend. It all comes together nicely, with her demise and the realization that this was not the first secret he had. Dealing with the caller was well done too.

Well, well, well, Douglas, this story had me anxious with suspense the whole way through. Excellent!
I enjoyed all the sexual innuendos as well. lol Quiet funny some of them.
I must say, the ending, I definitely didn't see that coming. You should of seen my face when I read he wacked her like a man. hahah, hilarious, she had it coming.
Then, I love your double twisted ending, with additional bodies. Must say, that was clever.
I enjoyed the story immensely.

I really loved this short murder mystery. You captured the pushy woman and the brow beat man. I ended up chuckling how he gets even with being pushed around. Too bad he lets it get that far, or maybe he likes being the serial killer. Nice job.

Ya never a person do you Really? Here he is a real killer pushed to far by his relationships. Go figure. Greed always finds a sleaze ball like the ones who rob the bank as they say what's good for the goose is also good for the ganger no harm no fowl as ge escapes.

You did a great job, Douglas, with your contest entry. It was
well thought out with a smooth flow and great interest. I was
engaged from start to finish. So, Carl was just playing along the
whole time with his girlfriend--manipulating her--into doing what
he needed in order to take the money and run. The note was a
great finale.
