One of the things I most enjoy about Fanstory is the friendships you make along the way and the lessons you learn about writing. Thank you for providing this reminder of how good Fanstory is.

I too am so thankful for our friendships here Bob, as I have been so happy to feel like I know you and your fun sense of humor more a lot lately. Those are the kind that I always get the closest to. I truly feel that God gave us laughter to bless us in healing just as in friendship. Maybe next time I have one of these parties, I'll invite some of the men. The girls got a little rowdy as you probably noticed. Lol! Thanks my friend for your fun and kind comments!

Thanks Sue and thanks for attending. It was just a lot of fun writing it, yet I would certainly love if it really happened for real. There maybe some people that you didn't recognize by their real names. I sometimes will ask if they will tell me so I don't always have to refer to them as their pen names. Yet I never do until I feel I know them well enough. So thanks again Sue for showing up and for the fun comments!

Thanks so much Wendy and yes it would be a dream come true true to actually do this for real. But in the meantime I couldn't imagine throwing a party w/o you there. I hope you know what your friendship means to me.
Somehow this silly little virtual luncheon actually made me feel closer to everyone, as all were such great sports. Lol, thanks for attending and for your sweet comments my dear friend! .... I am still in hospital but if all goes well I may be home in about a week, and will then have therapy and HHC daily for quite an extended period of time. I just want to go home. The hospital is an hour and a half away for my husband daily, but he always shows up. And then my kids take turns too but only 2 can come at the same time. I am so blessed in my three worlds, home, FS and the most important, my spiritual world. So I try to always remember that when nights get lonely here. However I believe with all my heart that God put each other here, together and I feel His gift daily. Thank you my sweet friend, Wendy for being one of those precious gifts!

You are very precious to many, and I am truly honoured that you count me as a friend. Think about His wedding banquet - we will surely meet each other there! That will be a celebration for sure!
Praying that all your therapy goes well, and that you have maximal benefit from your operation.

I've wondered if there has ever been a FanStory writers' live event - a reunion if you will. Both men and women, gathered to get to know each other and attend workshops taught by accomplished writers and poets. Wouldn't that be great?
In the meantime, we have your fun little romp which sounds pretty much like how it would play out if a bunch of women got together for a pool party/brunch. Thanks, Margaret, for virtually hosting this event!

Hhhmm Pam, maybe we should plan a big birthday party for us. But we must fatten you up a little first so you don't blow away. Anyway it was fun and it would be great to do it for real, but I guess they tried to do it the way you suggested and it got so expensive, nobody could afford to go, so it got scrapped. I think planning a party someplace where there is a hotel attached would be awesome. Have the long party and stick with friends in rooms or whatever but not organized after the party. .....Y'know that is kinda why I wrote that poem for Tom. Remember the last two lines to it?
"Maybe Tom should prove to us that he is really human"
Take some member cents and plan a Great Writer's Reunion"

Yes, I'm sure any kind of live reunion would be too expensive for many. We'll see what the future holds.

Don't you remember us putting you in one that night and sending you back to your cabin? I think you felt so bad for tripping KL Roquetmore(Kitty) that you had a little too much wine, so Gypsy, Cindy and Robyn were already.in the lake so they pushed the boat while swimming and got you back to the cabin we rented for all the girls? Haha! Fun time? I am still in hospital but after a week of healing a blood infection in my leg, I was bed ridden,
(can't you tell too much time on my hands?) Lol! ' catheter and had three blood transfusions, I am on the mend and started therapy on Thursday. Will hopefully go home in the next week. Have all the bars and equipment there and be having 2 PT daily and HHC and extra nurses aids to assist me. By NY I'll be doing the cha cha cha! Lol

It really sounds like you've been put through the wringer! What a horrible few weeks. I bet you'll be glad to be home again. Do you remember where you live!!? 😂😂Sorry, couldn't resist that. Thanks Dolly! This one had to include all my favorite ladies.cause I will probably never do one again. But I hope you had fun at the party, even virtual, I can get myself right into it.
