These are very funny. It was like Proverbs for old people. I really enjoyed and laughed out loud on two of them.
I thought this was a great idea.
Nice work and keep it up!

Douglas, Thank for reading, I am delighted you enjoyed the little stories, Terry.

This set of vignettes from the elderly is super cute and pretty much on the nose. I'm not certain about the ladies lining up for the jasper taking go pills, but I suspect it's likely true.

LOL, Bill, Thank you very much for the six stars, and thank you for reading and writing a very fun review! Terry.
Comment from John Ciarmello
You always make me laugh, Terry. I said it before that you'd be a hoot to hang with. FYI--after I lose a few more of my faculties, I may even propose to you. Hahaha! Loved this! Best, JohnC

That was a good compilation of humorous little conversations. I can relate to almost all of them. Thanks for putting a smile on my face. I especially liked the one where grandpa says ... She used to ask me what I thought about something...

I got a chuckle out of this. I am not old enough to be "in on the joke," but I still found it amusing. Thank you for sharing these funny scenes here, and best wishes to you.

Jessi, thank you for reading and reminding me how young you are and how old I am...LOL, you will get there. Terry

I loved most of these anecdotes about ageing. Most of them made me laugh. It is not easy to make young people understand all the difficulties of ageing mainly because the ageing simply would rather not admit to them. I am losing my eyesight and hearing and I am missing so much of what is going on around me. It's Maddening! LOL Good job, Terry.
Love it.Nancy:)

Nancy, well first I relate to what you are saying! Thank you for reading my little stories and for your very kind review. Terry.
Comment from Rachelle Allen
These are such a lovely amalgam of funny, touching, sweet and too-truthful-to-be-funny. (That last one is like a bday card I received from my college roommate a few years back. On the front, it had the entire song of "Do your ears hang low" but "ears" had been replaced by "boobs." Then, inside, it read: "That song's not funny anymore."
Anyway, I enjoyed this post very, very much this morning. Thank you.

Comment from SuzieWoo
This is great, I enjoyed reading it. Some of them made me laugh, some made me sad, some made me think. And that's great. It came across as a whole a bit disjointed, maybe a link between the different conversations or a logical flow might be useful. But overall, I liked it.

Suzie, I am glad you said it was great. I did not intend for it to have a logical flow. It was disjointed vignettes meant to either humorous or reflective in thought through the eyes of several different seniors, of which I am certainly one.
Even though you rated it good, your review indicates I did achieve what I was trying to do, so I am pleased that I accomplished my purpose. Thank you for reading and for your review. Terry.

Hi Terry, yes in the sense in which you wrote it, I would agree that you accomplished what you set out to do! Oh and I didn't realise it was through the eyes of different seniors! I thought it was all the same one - that would make a lot more sense! I wonder whether there's some way to make that explicit in the title? Good work, best thing I've read today!

Thank you, I see your point. Sometimes what seems clear in my mind is not expressed in a clear way in the writing. Thanks, Terry.

It's a bonus if any post makes me laugh, so when your one made me laugh about six times, I knew I was onto a winner :-)
One note:
'Sam, do you remember that county song' - I assume that's meant to be 'country'

Dang, that's some good stuff! A coupe of them really hit home!
"I am busy, busy, busy. I already had breakfast, so a fourth of the day is shot. Then there is lunch and dinner, and somewhere I got to work in a nap before I go to bed. It's just one thing after another." [Oh, Man, you hit such a note with me on this, Terry! Every activity for every day is pigeonholed. It's not that I'm hyper-organized. It's just that I'm aware of how little time there is.]
"Lyda, do you think you will run out of money before you run out of time?" [Your Dad used that line to sell life insurance. Now, don't you tell me he didn't!]
You have some great one-liners here. And some grainy old-folk wisdom. Like a Reader's Digest Retirement Edition. Funny!

Jay, LOL, I think my pops could have used that line to sell insurance. Thank you for reading and your very fun review! Terry.

Ha! I've even used the faces of the shoeless children as Mama opens the envelope with the Insurance company's monthly check, knowing they'd be able to buy meat instead of canned beans! Anything to sell that policy.
