I am a huge fan of sonnets and this sonnet certainly did not disappoint me. It was beautifully written about battling the high seas. Thank you for sharing and I enjoyed reading.

Love it. What a terrific poem, perfect sonnet and use of the word "frump" is spectacular. Very good ending as well. Thank you for sharing this wonderful sonnet

This is a beautifully written Sonnet about a sailor in distress. Fantastic rhymes that follow abbaabba pattern. I think I could never write this kind of poetry. You really did an excellent job here. Well done!

Thank you friend, please note the change intended -- the proper formatting needed adjusted into an octave and seset stanzic flow, may your week be all that you want it to be!

JLRThis poem has strong imagery of a shipreck in a storm. It uses sound well to as an extention of the theme and personification. I like the prayer of thanks at the end for the gift of life.
Though the rules say this form should be written in tow stanzas, one eight line stanza(octave) and one six line stanza(sestet). not 2 quatrains and 3 tersets.
Keep writing and stay healthy
