Even before reading your author notes, I was chilled and captivated by your tale. That the characters represent the four horsemen adds a great new dimension, but it was the gentle nature of Jaspers acceptance of his inevitable demise that I found comforting in a very human way. Beautiful writing, and dare I say, no less that I would expect from a fellow Northerner. :-)
